My daughter got this for Christmas when she was a year and a half. She had a very hard time using it. She would have to bring it to me to get it started telling me it was broke. But even after I got it started it was awkward and hard to get just right on the paper to mark. Even I had a hard time drawing with them. Now she is 2 and has found a new way to use it by pressing her fingers on it getting the ink on it and then smearing it where ever she wants including household items, herself and her older brother who is not amused. Regular markers are A LOT less messy and a lot easier to use. I let her have some dry erase markers a few weeks ago to go on a book for that purpose and it was messy but nothing compared to the crayola beginnings.The regular markers helps her with fine motor skills and learning how to hold a pencil.

Messy does not begin to describe this product! It was aweful! I couldn't wait to give it away at a yard sale!

-The paints are hard for a toddler to handle. They must be at exactly the right angle to paint.
-Once they are held at the right angle, too much paint comes out. They instantly soak through the paper to the floor/table/toddler's clothes.
-The giant singing holder doesn't do anything. It just sings and giggles creepily.
Normally, I love Crayola, but they fell way short on this one.

I got this toy for my 18 month old daughter for Christmas. It is so much fun!! She was dancing to the music as she was scribbling on the paper. I had a wonderful time watching and playing with her. The "mess" people are worried about not at all just use a babywipe and came right off her hands. Love it so much I plan on getting it for all the little ones I know next year for Christmas. Thanks

Bought this for my DS Christmas last year (he was 18mo at the time) and I was disappointed in it. The markers, although washable, made a complete mess and he lost interest in trying them because he got more ink on himself than any paper I gave him.

At first I turned my nose up at this product, like so many other reviewers that I have read. However, after having and using this product I think it is great! There is always a learning curve with a new product and small ones may get messy, however, clean up couldn't be any easier- a wet paper towel will get all the marks up! And after having preschoolers for over five years now, this really IS the CLEANEST ART PRODUCT out there! Art time with preschoolers is going to get messy, and does! But the joy of this product is that the "OCD clean mom" can let their little one go crazy, and all marks will clean up in a snap! Another positive, if you happen to have a toddler who gets into things and surprizes you with their art on the wall, table, etc, it wipes away! No sharpy will do that, nor will a crayon without a little elbow grease! So, relax with the Tadoodles! Have fun, and "Let's Make Art!"

My son is 1 and is a huge fan of this toy!!! He loves the music and switching the markers around to hear the noises. I will admit it is very messy, but I can't imagine giving a marker to a toddler and getting any other result. I bought a role of the paper used for shipping packages (kind of like a role of brown paper bag type paper) to use. I just strip him down to his diaper, tear off a large piece of the paper and sit him in the middle. He plays for a good hour with those markers and is a mess when he is done :) But a wet wash cloth does the trick and we are on our way to something different. :) I would recommend this to any mother with a toddler!

My 1 1/2 year old daughter loves to dance to the music. Of course its messy, its markers and young kids. I bring it out when she has on her smock and we have lots of paper out so that it doesn't matter about the ink running.

It is a good idea,the crayon/markers are a nice round size but unfortunatly, they are the messiest thing my grandson has had. Everytime he goes to pick them up they get all over his hands. Needs some work on the construction of the toy.
