The animals a really nice size and they are made of a hard pvc like material .The barn is really useless because it does not open up and it is just the frame of a barn.The two sets of doors open but it only has about a 2 inch top and bottom shelf for the animals to set on. The reason I bought this set is because my 3.5 year old daughter loves to play with her (Scholastic) farm animals and her Melissa and doug barn but she wants a farmer and I have looked everywhere for a farmer that came with a tractor and was able to actually ride in the tractor. I FINALLY FOUND ONE !!! The farmer in this set actually is able to set in the tractor like a real farmer and it also has a trailer for animals or hay to ride in which is a BIG plus! The tractor rolls very well and seems to be made well. Another great thing is this also came with a women farmer ! The man and womens legs and arms bend so they are both able to ride the tractor....They also are able to stand alone another plus ! Another great thing is the feeding trough and the hay . If you are just buying this set for the barn you are waisting your money (unless this is a starter barn for a very young child)... If your buying this barn for a older child 3yrs and up go I would suggest buying the Melissa and Doug barn. The reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of the useless barn..... I have not gave this to my daughter yet it is for Christmas, but I know she will be so EXCITED to finally have a farmer man and women with a tractor they can ride in pluse the wagon to hall hay and animals in !!!

I needed new animals for our Melissa & Doug wooden barn. This set is bigger than I thought and a hard plastic which I am very happy about! Love that it has the tractor and other accessories! The barn itself is pretty small and couldn't really be used for the "main barn" but I am sure my son will use it with his bigger one.
Not all of the animals stand up on their own, but that's ok with me :)

This was a birthday gift for my 3 year old. He LOVES IT. He has other animals and uses them in the farm set as well, although I don't think dinasaurs lived on farms. :-) The only problem that I see is that it doesn't have a storage box (that would be nice).

I bought this toy yesterday for my 2 boys, ages 2 and 3, and they haven't stopped playing with it since! The animals are great, very realistic. The barn is more than I expected for the price. I would buy this toy again.

My little girl is 18months old and absolutley LOVES this set. She totes the animals around wherever we go instead of her baby dolls. She constantly plays with them and asks for them when she leaves them somewhere. We have lost most of the set but I plan on buying another one. She has learned all of the names for the animals since we have had this set. I initially got it to put in her sand table, but she plays with it everywhere. It says for ages 3 and up, but I looked at it carefully and watched her with it for the first few weeks and I didn't see a big hazard, but of course there is always a risk. It's too late to take it away now, anyway. My only complaint is that it does not come with a storage box.

I bought this for my 3.5 year old son. He loves playing with it. Farms are usually expensive and big because they come with so many pieces but this is very practical for the parent. You get alot of nice, sturdy pieces and it is very easy to put away. I am thinking of getting the other collections now. Thanks Animal Planet for such a great toy!

I bought this farm for my 3 1/2 year old son. He has really enjoyed playing with it, and I liked it because I thought it was a great value. It comes with several animals, two people, and a farm. It's not a big farm, but I liked that part because it's easier to put away, and I'm not a fan of giant toys.

I bought the product as a Christmas gift for my little sister. She hasn't complained, so I won't complain.
