great starter guitar to be sure my son will stick with it, before investing in a more expensive instrument. It comes with cards you can insert under the frets, to show the kids where to put their fingers for chords and stickers to label the tuning knobs. Great learning tools! The only problem is that it doesn't stay tuned for too long ( but then how long does an 8 year old practice for!).

The size is just right for little fingers and it's a great guitar to begin with.

This gift was for my grand daughter Ally that wanted an acoustic guitar for christmas. She was so excited when she opened the box. The best thing about this guitar is that she is 7 years old and it looked like it was made for her. She took it out of the box and started begging for guitar lessons! It is well made, durable and perfect for a kid in the 7-12 age group.

You get what you pay for. Impossible to keep in tune. Can not play along with a real guitar because it can not be properly tuned and played without sounding terrible. It's fine as a toy but forget playing anything remotely musical on it.

I really like the First Act line. They do their best to create a low cost, usable and decent sounding instrument. Some of the things that I have read are really user expectation problems not First Act! Really for [$] were you expecting the sounds of a $3000.00 instrument?! This is a very good first instrument. It is a 1/2 size so remember that the tuning is going to be more difficult because you will only move the knobs a teeny tiny bit. It is best if you use a tuner for this. Also, the strings are fine and we have replaced many sets and many guitars. My son who is 9 probably wore three of these out over the last five years.3-4 hours of use per day will do that ....but each one lasted well beyond it's dollars worth!

Do not buy this. More of a toy than a real instrument. If you buy it in a toy store , it's a toy

This product is great i was always into playing guitar, I own alot of electric guitar and this was my first acoustic and it was well worth the money.

the reason why its called first act because its just for younger and older kids because its not a 100-200 dollar guitar or a guitar to take lessons with its just a guitar to play around with and have fun with because its not a long lasting guitar like the expensive ones

Needs to come with a sticker sheet that you can put stickers on your guitar to make it seem more like yourself(you get to choose the sticker sheet that comes with it.)
