Description



Fisher-Price Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing in Cocoa/Pink features 3-position seat for two ways to swing (front to back like a traditional swing and 2-way side to side like a cradle either left of center or right of center). The 3-position seat is composed of comfy, cozy fabric and geometry for a nest-like feel. The beautiful pink and brown colorway makes this the perfect girls swing for today. There is a mobile overhead with three brightly colored shapes that float up and down as the mobile rotates.

There is also a dome overhead which projects light-up stars above baby and onto the canopy that surrounds the seat. The swing has two music modes and two sound effects. There are 16 songs total: 8 daytime songs, 8 nighttime soothing songs and two long play sounds. Mom can customize baby's swinging experience by choosing motion only, music only, mobile only or any combination she can think of. There are 6 soothing speeds which work in swing or cradle mode and a bead bar on the feeding tray. The 3pt restraint keeps baby secure and the frame easily folds for storage. Fisher-Price Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing in Cocoa/Pink includes A/C Adapter or 4 D batteries can be used (not included).

[note i have the periwinkle version of this swing, same thing only the design is different.] I was SUPER excited about this swing, I did HOURS and DAYS of research to pick out the perfect one for my son, and I admit that he absolutely loves it! And I do too, but not without a couple of pretty major flaws, and among these flaws, I am not the only one I've heard having them with this swing, Heard it from a number of people. Ok, so I've had this under a month and already have problems with it being defective. First of all, this swing is notorious for having a loud motor as it swings! Most babies don't seem to be bothered by it too much but its ANNOYING and for the price, it should not be an issue!! It makes a grinding noise, that's the best way I can describe it. Secondly, my son LOVES anything with lights so naturally we use that feature a lot, well 2 weeks after purchasing, it shorts out on me now- it will work perfectly fine and stay on for hours some days and then other days it will shut off on its own, sometimes as often as every 3 minutes! I did nothing to cause this so it could easily happen to anyone with this swing!! Then the last thing is, it just started another annoying thing yesterday- the mobile moves, and now when it moves, it sometimes clicks like its stuck- and when i say it clicks, it is LOUD and often several loud clicks in a row, and just when i finally get my son to sleep, it happens and wakes him up!! I CANT TELL YOU HOW FRUSTRATING THAT IS!! I've kept this swing in perfect condition for the one month i've had it, never even moved it from original spot and if all of these things are happening even in consideration of that, I can't help but question it's durability! It's truly a huge shame that it's this way because if not for these problems, it would truly be the PERFECT swing that has it all. So I don't really know if I should recommend it or not- I guess overall I *would*, but I'd definitely recommend with caution of foreseeable problems of any variety..Luckily I've heard FP has great customer service so I can only hope they will make it up to me so my son can continue to use the swing he loves!

My daughter is 4 months old. We got this as a gift for her, and thought it was adorable! The 1st problem that we have with it, is that it is very annoying getting her in and out! You have to be very very careful because of the overhead. Also, We started noticing the squeeking noise it was making when she was about 2 months, and it was loud. The past week the mobile portion is making loud clicking noises, to the point where we cant run it. It upsets me on that, because the only thing she likes about the swing is the movement of the lights. Now we have to take it back! It is very cute, but I think for as much money as whats getting put out, and how little time babies will be in it, its not worth it! Shes already outgrowing it, and is only 15 pounds!

i loved this swing in the beginning. my daughter loved it as well. it worked great for the first i say 3 weeks than it started making a loud clicking noise that would scare my daughter after that it got worse i figured my daughter who is 14 lbs was too heavy so i tried turning it on one day without her in it, it still clicked and it would stop like something was jammed than when i showed my boyfriend it wouldnt even turn on anymore now my daughter is 3 months and guess what i get to go waste money on a 2nd swing because this one died!!!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this swing for our little sweet pea. Our baby loves the projected stars and moons and the color is awesome! The only problem and I wouldn't even call it a problem is when you turn the swing in its a little loud but with the music playing you just kinda forget about the loudness.

I was skeptical about purchasing this items because of all the complaints about it being noisy. I decided to purchase it any way and I couldn't be happier. My newborn enjoys watching the lights and listening to the different sounds it plays. The motor is noisy but its not overbearing. The noise doesn't seem to bother my daughter one bit. The material is soft and the colors are beautiful and vibrant.

I got this for my baby cuz in the butterfly style, she loves it. She takes a nap in it every day. She Loves the music and the lights. it really soothes her. The only thing that would make it better is if it were more portable

We bougth this swing for our second child,a girl and we love it.We had also bought the first papasan swing for ou son in 2004 and we loved that one too. This swing provieds the parents with two positioning swing cycles, front to back and side to side. Our daughter loved it and she always fell asleep in it. Deffinetly a keeper for a future baby!! Oh! and its not only battery operated its also a plug in!! TWO THUMBS UP!!!

    We received this swing at the baby shower and it's just beautiful. I set it up while my husband was at work at 9 months pregnant and it was easy! My baby girl LOOOOOOVED it! BEYOND loved! She is tiny so she would still be able to use it according to their weight limit at 11 months but 2 months ago the motor went out. After reading the reviews it seems that this happens a LOT. It's unfortunate that only 8 months of use and the motor broke, Fisher Price should offer a warranty since this is such a common issue with this product.

        The swing is a life saver, especially in the evenings. The projection works like magic in keeping the girls quiet and entertained. We have two, this one and the other one has butterflies. The one problem is the noise the mechanism makes when the swing is swinging (both of the swings). It doesn't seem to bother the babies though. I just hope it dosen't get louder! I expected a better product.

        I received this swing as a gift with my odlest daughter who just turned 2, she loved it. Being in the Military we have of course moved since we had her and it came with us since I was pregnant with our 2nd little girl. This swing still works great. When our 2nd one pulls on the canopy that goes around it or it is not in the notch it does make a clicking sound, but I just take her hand off or put it back in position and it stops clicking. Best investment to me, my motor works fine on it, I use the ac adaptor rather then the battery. It is easy to put together, I was able to do it myself and easy to take cover off and wash. I would recommend this swing to soon to be moms.

        My daughter was two months old and not sleeping well unless I held her. My mother in law bought this swing for her and it was a miracle! She loved that swing. We let her use it until she was 9 months old and started to stand on her own. I cried the day my husband disassembled it and put it back in the box. It was a lifesaver. She napped in it, played in it. She did grab the mobile when she got to be about 5 months old but we just turned it off. I wish they made swings for boys this attractive. We are expecting again and I don't know what swing to get if I have a boy.
