I bought this toy yesterday for my 4 1/2 year old daughter who loves mermaids. I was looking for a big girl bath toy to replace elmo and cookie monster bath toys. She loved it immediately, especially the cute little mermaid that came with it. She played with it in the bath and out, even had to sleep with the doll last night. When we woke up, she said she needed to take another bath. We didn't have any trouble with it staying stuck on the side of our tub. We have a large spa tub , so it went directly on the side of the tub and not the tiles. We have a barbie size Ariel doll that would not stay on the swing, kept slipping off. I can see how the swing is attached by some rather flimsy looking hooks, hope they last and don't break if we are gentle with toy. It's not made as sturdy as it could be, but I got it on sale for [$] and so far it is a favorite toy. No regrets.

I bought this for my daughter and when we got it home she immediately "needed" to take a bath. She loves it. I love how it has so many moving parts. It kept my daughter busy for quite awhile. However, I do have to agree with others that the suction cups dont hold well and it does slide down the tub. Luckily for us, my tup has a ledge so I just suction cupped it so the bottom of the toy rests on the ledge and we have had no issues. Great toy!

It looks cute and that is why my daughter wanted it. Too bad it won't stay on the wall and when you press down the flower to have water come out the whole thing falls in the tub. Very dissapointed in this would not recommend.

My daughter saw this in the store and had to have it, so I bought it. Once we got it home and in the bath tub it didn't want to stay on the wall. Everytime you poured the water in and/or put the barbie on the swing it would slide down and then fall off the wall. I would not recommend this toy to anyone. We now have it placed on the side of the tub leaning against the wall so she can play with it.

My 5 year old loves playing with this in the tub. She really utilizes her imagination while playing.

In and outside of the box, the product was pretty and appealing to the eye of my three-year old daughter. The box cover is deceptive, however, in that a mermaid Barbie is pictured prominently there, but is not included. The box does not say that the Barbie is not included, but simply that a little mermaid is included. That's hardly the biggest problem though.

When playing with the toy dry, my daughter's Barbie doll was able to sit in the swing. As soon as the toy was placed by suction cup on the bathtub wall, the Barbie was no longer able to sit in the swing. It always fell off.

When water is placed into the toy, which is what the toy is all about, the weight of the water immediately causes the toy to slip down the wall and fall into the water! In order for my daughter to play with it, I had to constantly hold the toy up and resuction the suction cups as well.

There is also a shower pump which takes a certain amount of pressure to move, pressure which immediately causes the whole toy to slip down the wall into the water!

In addition, the swing is flimsy and easily comes apart from it's little hooks. There is also a flower on the toy that comes off easily.

I'm taking this piece of junk back. I cannot believe that Mattel would test this toy and still sell it. Perhaps they didn't test it. Either way, it makes me mad and makes me think that the dollar, not the consumer, is what alone matters to them.

This is the best bath toy ever - the words of my 7 yr old the first day she got to play with it! She received this toy and the extra mermaid for her birthday and loves it so much!! It is so hard to find a bath toy for the older group of kids that still like to play in the bath. Sesame street and Dora just don't cut it anymore but Barbie will be around for a few more years. It was so simple to put together and has not fallen apart in the bath at all as other reveiws claim. This is the best bath toy and I HIGHLY recommend it!!

I like it a little bit. The slide does not stay on. The little pink mermaid is pretty. I always have troubles with the swing unless daddy helps.

I can't believe how many people out there can't figure out how to attach the slide! Come on , it's no brainer. It snaps, people! Snap it! We've had this toy for months now and we never had a problem! The slide never FELL, ever! The toy holds onto the tile and we're using only 2 suction cups.
My 4 year old loves it. I wish I had purchased it sooner.

It took some effort to get the slide attached and the suction cups to stick to the side of the tub. Initially, I was frustrated at the effort required to get the toy to work. But once it did, my daughter was elated. She has had so much fun playing with this toy. At 5 years of age, many bath toys are too young for her. This one is perfect! Again, it did take some effort on my part but in the end it all worked out great.
