      This tambourine was perfect for my 7 months old baby girl, to introduce her rhythm. She can hold it and at the same time play. It has a great sound and it safe even for a very young kid.

      I purchased this for my two sons (2,4) because they love music. It was cheap but seemed high quality. The head is only made of thin paper and ripped within a few uses (appropriate uses at that). The product must be made differently than it was before based on the other review. Be careful if purchasing new. May not last.

          Made for kids? The one in this family has ten years of use and abuse by the kids and the adults. It not only still has a drum-tight head and a solid, thick wood shell, but the clear-toned jingles DON'T FALL OFF. Worth three times the price!
