This was the biggest dissapointment. We bought this for my son's 3rd birthday. He absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, after four days it completely quit working. We were able to exchange it for another but just 4 short months later the second one turns on but the touch screen no longer works. I really wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing because this seems to be a fairly commom issue. I will never buy another Leapster product. I know it looks great, but if you don't have money to burn, I'd steer clear.

My DH and I bought this system to replace our daughter's original Leapster system. She enjoys playing the games but we cannot get the system to connect for online play. Our daughter would love to be able to see/ print the rewards she earns for playing but can't. Additionally, the power button is in a poor location. On more than one occasion the power button has been hit while just holding the system.

We had a great experience with the original Leapster but the Leapster2 is not worth buying.

Bought this for my son less than a year ago. He just recenlty started playing it so we got him new games. Then out of no where it stopped working. It comes on but want let you pick the player. Charged the battery. Just doesnt work. Too bad he really enjoyed the cars game:( Looking in a nintendo ds now.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. Had coupons so I got it in Sept. He used it from Christmas through March and the sound went out. I tried all that Leapster reommended, but nothing worked. And since we were outside of the 90 day warranty limits, were stuck. We have a lot of games so would like to buy another one, but not sure what to do....

Grandson, 6, was so excited when we bought this. We followed the sparse directions and could not, after several tries, get the Leapster 2 connected online, nor get it to work at all. It kept telling us to download Adobe Flashplayer, which we did and it would tell us again and again. The most discouraging thing was on the hook up instructions: "...if the CD doesn't work..." RED FLAG!! Grandson almost cried when we took it to get our money back.

I was hoping for a game that my son would be able to play on own that is similar to a DS....this is NOT it. The games are misleading for the age groups, the games to download are horrible, and the worst part is the Leapfrog customer support number. They were less than helpful, and basically their response was "oh well." I am looking to return the entire package, games, etc. This did not meet our expectations at all, and we do NOT recommend it.

We love leapster!!!! We had the lmax then the regular ones and now the leapster2. We love them. My boys are rough on their toys so we got the screen protecters this time. They like to look on line to see hoe well they have done and to show us how well they have done. Love everything about them!!!
