for the money i spent on this item i was not impressed at all. looked like i gave her real trash to play with, for example the cans have no lables on them. if your looking for realistic looking cheese or bread then this is it however

Cheap little thing... for the price, it's good enough. We got this in conjuction with some Melissa & Doug fruits, vegetables, cutting food, and a grocery stand with coordinating shopping carts & register. DD loves playing with them all.
Alone, it's not the best investment. But w/some other creative play items, it's cute.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
