This was given to our 3 year old son as a gift. I think the mother who gave it to us either hates us or has no clue! It is a huge mess to clean up. It reminds me of the beach because the sand gets EVERYWHERE! We ended up making it an "outside" toy.

Very messy! Need a container for storage. Ended up throwing it away because at the end all the colors were mixed and moonsand was growing all over my house. The kit does not contain enough sand to make what is shown on the box. I like playdoh much better.

For the parent that states you had to throw it away after playing with it on your carpet: It is called moon sand, don't play with it on your floor, Come on, what were you thinking! This is better than regular sand, because it staying together and you can pack it to make different shapes and stuff. It's not playdough or clay, so no it's not going to stay together like that. It comes apart easily. But it keeps my son busy and content and he loves it. You will probably want to play with 1 color at a time, which my 4 yr old don't mind. It is easy to vaccumm, for the stuff that does end up on your floor. My son plays with it on his small table near our kitchen and then we scoop it back into a plastic baggie when done.

Kids have hours of fun in it. Needs a container to store it in. The plastic mat that it comes with does not turn into a storage container.

we love moonsand, it's more fun then playdoh, and so easy to clean up.

moon sand is the best sand that my daughter ever played.She likes to make different stories with moon sand treasure kingdom.When she is asleep I want to make a sand castle and a story myself.It is just AMAZING!!!!!!

This is a worthless hunk of junk. Makes a huge mess everywhere. It doesnt stick to well together either, your better off taking your kids to the beach and letting them play with real sand. This Moon sand belongs on the moon.

No wonder this kit was on clearance! I wasn't disappointed after watching the advertisements, because I know that all companies embelish kids toys. But heck, I figured there would be enough sand to make the castle! It wasn't even close. With a lot of molding and forcefully jamming the sand into the molds, I could get them to hold together, sometimes and for a short while. The mat, you might as well through it away like I did! It's this tiny little thing that won't even hold air or lay flat. But the one thing that I hate most, is the mixxing of colors. You can NOT take 2 colors out at the same time!!!! If it's time to play with a different color, you'd better make sure that there's no sign of the previous color. This can be a HUGE headache! After an hour of fighting with the kids to only play with one color, I gave up and ended up having a big clump of ugly gray sand.

Just save your money on the kits, and buy 2 or 3 tubs of ONLY 1 COLOR! Buy some playdough molds or cookie cutter type things, and you'll be a lot better off! The kits are a waste of money!!!

My kids love moonsand and so do I. We have had no problems with ours drying out or not staying together. We have four or five different ones plus many little containers. They play with it for hours. I put a big drop cloth down and say have fun. I like it better than play dough that gets stuck in the carpet and is hard to get out. Moonsand just sweeps up. Kids are suppose to get messy, that is there job.
