This is a good toy that looks just like in the movie. The light saber doesn't light up as much as it looks in the picture, but it is still pretty good. Observe the age guidelines (6 and up). We didn't and we bought this online for our 4-year-old who kept asking for a light saber for his birthday. We didn't realize the "blade" is spring-loaded making it very difficult to close and powerful when it pops open. 2 hours after receiving it, my 4 yo got a black eye while trying to close it. It is definitely not recommended for any younger than 6 for this reason, but make sure you teach them to point the "blade" away from their face even when trying to close it. For the right age this is a good toy so I've still given it 4 stars.

This product is a great idea and is very attractive. However I have bought 3 lishtsabers for my son in the past 2 months. The sword works for about a week and then never lights up again. Since returning is such a hassle I have now purchased 3. Can't wait till we grow out of the Star Wars phase.

hi again :P...these lightsabers are worth to buy for kids....and myself im 19 years old bought one too :P..the obi wan clone wars one eh great for duels...and collection....i wanna get vader ...anakins...same as luke skywalkers...lukes saber belonged to anakin his father...eh durable...i dont fight lol....just switch on :P and train myself...combat....i was born with duelling blood in me...i dont go to sowrd lessons... eh some sabers....like the old darth maul double bladed didnt have sound or light...then there were the lightsabers with not a fully retractable blade..with sound and light..then there are the new latest lightsabers which are fully retractable...like obi wan clone wars...anakin i think....eh the sith spike one isnt very good..aint retractable

I have the obi wan saber....anyway...eh this saber can be used by everyone of all ages like me ..im 19 years old ..and like star wars...etc...and like the lightsabers..to collect and make movies with them....for children who are young say 3-5 ...you can buy smaller lightsabers not THE BIG ONES>>> Big ones are used for older kids say 10+ ... :S Get to your senses PArents !!ahhhh

I got this for my 5 year old for his birthday. He is obsessed with Star Wars and has been wanting a lightsaber. I was a little worried he wasn't old enough for it but with the right supervision he has really enjoyed this product! It really seems like the real thing to him and I recommend it to any parent who has a child that loves Star Wars!
