I gave this 4 stars in hopes that people would read this review. I will admit that I almost returned the item because the wheels made it impossible to steer. However, I had already thrown away the receipt. So I simply put some tie wraps on the wheels so they didn't swivel and it totally fixed the problem. My daughter has been playing with it non-stop now! I know that people like to get their money's worth and don't want to have to "fix" a brand new toy...but if you are stuck with it like me (who lost the receipt) it can be fixed so it's not a total waste of money! Pro about the item: metal frame is sturdier than plastic, basket can be removed, and there's a spot for baby dolls to sit!

I purchased this item because it looked cute with the baby doll seat and colorful in the photo. I kind of expected the cheap material because of the price. It took me about 20 minutes to put this item together. It did not sound too bad, but I couldn't follow the poor instruction sheet. Basically I looked at the picture on the box and used my common sense to do it. The most disappointing part about this item was that it did not move properly because of the cheap wheels. In conclusion, do not buy this item. I suggest to spend an extra $10 to get a better one, such as fisher price.

This toy is a great idea but an awful design. Both of my kids love it but we recieved it on Christmas. It was a pain to put together. The instructions were poor but we assembled it and my kids loved it. Within hours the handles broke off of the basket. I exchanged it and put another one together. This was was worse than the first. The bottom rivets that hold it together broke and it fell apart. This is a shame as my kids really want to play with it. Even when it is together the seat doesn't stay on and it tips over every chance it gets. Don't tease your kids with a great idea. Just buy something else.

I admit when my daughter asked for a shopping cart I cringed only because I know they aren't usually built well, but I was drawn to this one for the obvious reasons, it was metal and looked better than the others. It's a toy so I expect it not to last very long. As I got closer to the box I saw the baby seat and that the basket is removable which I thought was perfect for my kid's use. Slight warning though assembly is such a pain! You're better off just matching the holes to the screw sizes than follow their diagram.

All in all, they love it and all three play with it! Ages 10,7 and 6, Even my son asked if they sell a blue one.

All in all its a good basket, steering shouldn't be an issue, I expect bad steering from all of them, it's not a real shopping cart, I owned one as a kid that didn't steer well either. My point is the kids love it and its better than the other flimsy plastic ones, I personally don't think they are meant to go to actual stores anyway. So I am pleased with it :)

            My daughter received this as a birthday gift. She loves to play with her pretend kitchen and go shopping, so this would have been a natural fit. Within days of playing with it, the baby seat started to ripe apart; not that any of her baby dolls could have actually been placed in it. The basket does not easily go in or out of the cart which can make for a very unhappy child.

                    Less than a year of us having this cart its become useless... Basket is broken into pieces. Sitting a baby doll in the seat makes cart awkward to push. My daughter loves it though, and I guess I will have to get her a better quality one this christmas! Please don't waste your money- you will be tossing it out or replacing this cart in no time!

                      The great thing about it is that it's cute and there's a place for a baby doll. That's about it. We've had it for 6 months and here are all the cons:
                      1. Doesn't steer well
                      2. Not balanced....will tip over easily when too many things are in the basket.
                      3. The metal frame that holds the basket will eventually bend downwards which makes it even more off balance.

                      Absolutely do not buy this if you have a child that still needs help balancing a little and you are thinking that this cart will help with that. It will not and your child will fall over. I bought this for my 2 and half year old and she was already walking well. She did eventually stop using it because it just didn't hold things well, fell over a lot and didn't steer well. Only buy it if you have money to spare and plan to buy a different one in 6 months.

                      I Bought this for my 4 year old granddaughter to have her own shopping cart when we go to the grocery store so she can take her baby and put "her" groceries in it. The wheels have not held up well. They refuse to turn correctly and we have to stop to realign them. This product has been used maybe 15 times! She does tend to push it very fast at times but this is a childs toy. Of course there is going to be some abuse.

                      I am now looking for another one so she can enjoy our trips.

I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THE LOW RATINGS ON THE ITEM SO THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PURCHASE. OVERALL THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT PURCHASE. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH THE WHEELS ROLLING GOOD AS IN OTHER POSTS MY MY HOUSE IN MAINLY HARD FLOORS ONLY HAVING CARPET IN THE BEDROOMS. MY GIRLS MIGHT HAVE ALITTLE TROUBLE PUSHING IT ON THE CARPET BUT HAVE GOTTON THE HANG OUT OF IT. OVERALL THIS IS HAS BEEN A GREAT PURCHASE FOR MY GIRLS AND I WOULD BUY ANOTHER IN A HEARTBEAT!
