I bought this DVD player for my son last year for Christmas. It was pricey for a childs toy but I thought it would me great for those long trips to go visit grandma. It stop playing DVD's a few months ago. My son was very upset because he uses it all the time. This was a DVD player he could operate on his own with no assistance from me.
Do not buy this unless you want your child disappointed.

We bought two of these dvd players last Christmas for our little girls. They were not rough on them at all. They did use them a lot. Both of the dvd players stopped working after 6 months. They were too expensive to stop working that soon.

We have had our dvd player for about a year and use it all the time!! My son is 18 months and knows how to use the player. He loves it for long car rides and when out on long shopping trips. I would highly recommend. As for people who are having problems they should call fisher price because they are very good at giving replacements.

Bought this for my 2 year old to use in the car and she loved it! However, after 7 mo. it will no longer play dvds, so I called Fisher Price. They will either reimburse you and take the product back, OR they will send you a new one - which they have been working on, to make a better product! Call them if you had problems!!!

I bought this for my three year old to keep in the car. It worked for a month or two and then would only work sporadically. She never dropped it or anything. It just broke. Now it never works and we have only had it for six months. It is a waste of money! It is a good concept but this one does not live up to expectations.

My son received this as a Christmas gift last year (2008) and he loves it. He is 3 now and he knows how to work it himself. We take it everywhere with us. We had to get the charger for the car because the battery doesn't last longer than one movie, but it was worth it. I would recommend this to anyone.

this thing is not kid toough at all. it was broke within 10 days and the replacement broke within a month, this is not worth ten dollars. if you buy it u will see, I TOLD YOU SO! i read reviews and i said oh ill give it a try. i learned my lesson

I bought one and it was defective. They gave me a brand new one no problems. It works great! My son had it since he was 2 and know hes almost 4. He has droped it many times. Spilt drinks on the top. It still works! Its great for trips or just to keep them amused while shoping. I used it at grocery store or even the mall. kept him entertained for hours. I would recommend to anyone with young kids. I brought it with me to my family who also has small kids. They fell in love with it too. Its easy for them to use and work themselves.

My 4 yr old grandson loved this product. He was capable of using it himself and it worked as stated. He used it daily for a couple months when it developed a line across the screen. He still used it until it developed a charging issue. It will no longer hold a charge, tho we have found and followed some troubleshooting instructions. A great idea that needs some work!

bought this item for my 2 yr old child, he loved it so much was very careful i bought everything that went with it and it only lasted 4 months after that it just says loading, no disk. the headphones tore, this item is horrible, a waste of money!
