Was not that hard to install..I got this for my daughter who needed to move car seats for her sister. She was not big enough for out other car seat. I watched the video online and it helped a lot. Best thing is once it it in you do not have to take it out to clean or make it bigger.... My daughter loves her seat and falls asleep easily in it for long car rides. Even though I have a Graco Nautilus in box from my first baby shower I might buy another since I love it so much..

This seat has every feature you could want & has a great safety rating to match. The removable headrest is great for when my little guy gets bigger. The seat is very spacious even with winter coats on, yet doesn't take up any more room than other car seats. Ability to adjust shoulder straps with no re-threading! Release button for straps is a breeze. Directions are simple for set up with either "latch system" or seatbelts (I have used both). If you are using it with seatbelts it has built in lock offs which are very slick. I currently have it rear facing in a 4dr sedan. I used a rolled up towel under the front of the car seat to level it. Installation took less than 15 minutes (I read all the instructions first). I would buy it again or recommend it no question.

We purchased this seat for my daughter when she outgrew her infant carrier one year ago at 14 months. I wanted to do extended rear facing, and thought this seat would be great.

We only have this one seat and switch it between my car and my husband's truck a couple times per month. This seat is a pain in the butt to install. Compared to the infant seat which just clicked in with latch in less than ten seconds, the five minute or more install of this seat is frustrating. I have put the seat in at least 5 different vehicles and if the angle of the seatbelt or latch hooks is not juuuuust right, it gets ridiculous. The clamps are at an extremely awkward angle as well for rear facing.

When we got this seat, our child was already big enough that we had to keep the headrest on for rearfacing. In my sedan this means the seat only fits on the passenger side with the front seat all the way forward. In my husbands truck, we can get away with putting the seat in the middle.

Also, regarding airplane usage. I first flew with this seat a couple months ago. There was absolutely no way that seat was going to fit rear facing with the headrest on AND be at the correct 45 degree angle. Impossible. Perhaps without the headrest, but I did not try this as my child is too big and needs it. I had to install the seat forward facing on the plane. Also impossible! The clamp for the seat belt in the forward facing position is in the middle of the seat- exactly where the plane's belt buckle is. I could not clamp the car seat to the plane seat's belt, and it was loose and wiggly for the flight. Very unnerving.

I do love the easy no re-thread shoulder belt adjustment and the space that my child has to sit in, but I'm not sure it's worth it for the hassle it has given me. I think I will look for something different next time.

I got the product for my son at 8 months when he was getting to heavy to carry in the infant carrier/carseat. seat is cushioned well. we are using as rear facing and i feel it doesn't recline enough even with the piece on the bottom flipped as needed for the rear facing position. also is kind of hard to install in the car so definetly not easy to switch between vehicles. the adjustable harness without re-threading the straps is really nice.

Instructions say that if it doesn't fit at the correct angle, you can remove the headrest and reinstall it when your baby gets big enough. Since you will need the headrest eventually for rear-facing, it doesn't really help if you can use it for a little while if you will still need to replace it later. The owner's manual needs to have more information. Also, I called the 800 number and was given incorrect information on installing the chair.

This car seat is a great car seat! It is wider than some seats, but the angle of the seat and the headrest/sides is perfect for a sleeping infant or toddler. We purchased this seat before our son was born and he is now 2 and we still love it! It is very easy to install in a vehicle. It is also fairly easy to take the cover off to wash it, which is a necessity with a child. I definitely recommend this seat!

I love this car seat! If you read the instructions, you should have NO problems installing it. My son was very big for his age-in fact he outgrew his infant carrier by the time he reached 5 months. We bought this car seat in a different color and two years later we're still using it and I am still thrilled with it! It's very wide, which was/is perfect for my little chunky monkey. The padding is very comfortable. It's easy to adjust and it's LATCH system is very easy to use. I feel my son is very safe in this seat!

My My 2.5 year old can still rear face safely in this car seat. I researched seats extensively and chose this one because it is one that car rear face longer than most- which is the most important thing for me.

I can not say enough great things about this car seat. I am not a parent myself but I do have 4 nieces and 3 nephews that I care for on a very regular basis. This car seat has been a lifesaver!! It is so easy to quickly adjust to the age of the child that I have, which can be anywhere from a 13 month old to a 4 year old. I will say that I have only used it rear facing a handful of times but it when I did it worked out just as well as it does front facing and with the headrest removed it did not even come close to the front seat. I also have to say that I do take this seat out of my car when I need the room and installation is a breeze, it's very easy to get a good tight fit in a just a couple minutes!!
