I purchased this on Black Friday for my almost 2.5 year old son. It was easy to put together, and looked amazing running under our Christmas tree. He absolutely loved the conductor's voice, bell and whistle, and he figured out the remote in minutes. He struggles to move the people from the observation deck to the front of the train to the platform, but I think this is due to his age.He knows how to do it, but the pieces are so small! The only reason that I did not give this train 5 stars is because you can't turn it off. You can turn off the remote (which is still using the original batteries after three weeks), but you have to wait for the train to turn itself off (after TEN MINUTES of idle time!)! The other option is to disconnect the power source from the engine to the tender, but I'd rather not have my toddler messing with that. This train is seriously awesome, but buy at least a dozen C batteries right off the bat!

This is way over priced. I got it for 30% off and STILL paid [$]. It is at [@] for [$]. Tried to return online purchase BUT you can ONLY get store credit if you return an online purchase to a store. OR you have to pay for shipping to mail it back to get your refund. Depending on what you are saving - it's not worth the hassle. Watch the return policy here.Bottom line, the kids loved it but when I find that I overpaid by $50, and the store does NO price matching OR do they allow you to return to a store - to get your original method of payment back - I Have ZERO plans to purchase from this store again online EXCEPT to use down this gift card!

easy to install and put together. Little hands can operate it. Track easy to work with. Train does NOT fall off track. Santa bell and small figures an added benefit. Sound effects. Mesmerized a 2 and6 year old.

my husband and i got this train off of [@] brand new and never been opened for [$] less vs toys r us, its a great train and i hope my son will love it. If you want to buy this train look around and read the reviews first, you can always find it somewhere else for a better price!

We decided to put a train under the tree for Christmas morning and thought this was a great choice. It has all of the Polar Express bells and whistles (literally) and the kids love the movie. They were so excited when it was circling the tree when they woke up. It is a great size, not too much assembly and it was a big hit.

Over all I am pleased with this train, unfortunately I have a young child that I feel this train is not suitable for. It is too big and he wants to lug it around like a Thomas train. Also it requires two different sets of batteries, and the ones in the train are already drained. This is a perfect train for running under the christmas tree during the holidays since it is Polar Express themed. I just dont see it being used everyday due to it's size.

The train is excellent and has been used almost everyday for the ten days since Christmas by my 4 year old son. It is very attractive with authentic sounds and durable. We have been running it on C batteries and will need to change them soon. I have not been able to find the 9.6 Volt rechargeable battery that is advertised but will get one if/when I find it.
