Imagine coming upon this creature as you explore the ocean! This Elasmosaurus Deep Sea Exploration Playset, a Toys 'R' Us exclusive, features the longest of the plesiosaurs, ocean-dwelling reptiles that lived in the ages of the dinosaurs. It had a large body and four flippers for limbs. More than half of its length was neck, which had more than 70 vertebrae, more than any other animal. This elasmosaurus model is constructed from highly detailed plastic and has a moveable head, flippers, and neck. The playset includes an air boat and a driver, along with three tunas and an ichthyosaurus. Elasmosaurus dimensions: 13L x 10"H x 3.5"W. Boat dimensions: 9L x 5"H x 4"W. Weight in packaging: 2.5 lbs.

I wanted a little something to give my 4 yr. old grandson at his mom's baby shower for his little sister and this item fit the bill. He loves dinosaurs and sharks, so I knew he would love this toy. It has been great at bathtime. Some of the parts are small; however, that was not an issue because I purchased this toy primarily for the Elasmosaurus sea creature.

This toy is pretty good but there are a few things which don't really work. All the little pieces get lost easily, and the elasmosaurus's jaw has fell off a little bit. Also, the fish got stuck under the little mans seat in the boat and it took a long time to get them out. The elasmosaurus is pretty cool. It has a jaws wide open waiting for a victim. The color scheme is also pretty cool. Overall this set is really great and my son loves it!

Both of my boys (ages 3 and 6) absolutely loved this, and they liked all the pieces. I thought it was a decent price for all that came with it. But unfortunately the mouth broke off the Elasmosaurus the very first day when he got dropped. But if your kids are more careful than mine, it is a great toy.

Elasmosaurus is hard plastic and the head lowers and raises with a button on its back. Opthalmasaurus is a wonderful addition to the collection. Net + Fish + boat and exlorer figure are also great for bathtub interaction. My sons both love it. Little one is rough but has withstood banging against the bath tub. Dinosaur and all the pieces are large and great value for only[$]

Just purchased this for my dinosaur obsessed 4 year old son. He hasn't stopped playing with it for about three hours now. The peices are very sturdy and detailed. He even asked if we could look up elasmosaurs on the internet. Does contain some very small parts that I suspect will be lost in the next month. Compared to the relative equivalently priced Imaginex line, I prefer this set.
