    This is adorable. The plastic is sturdy and colorfully decorated like real cake and icing. I bought it for my two year old neighbor and she loves it. It teaches forward and backward counting as well as numbers and colors. She has the most fun counting and stacking it higher than herself then knocking it down and starting all over again. When finished it all fits nestled together. I am buying another set today for another two year old to learn her counting, however I recommend it for kids of any age that like to pretend with food. I have bought many play cakes and this is by far my favorite.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        I bought this as a birthday present for Granddaughter but returned item. The hard brittle plastic is not appropriate for young child's toy. If dropped on a hard surface I'm sure the plastic would break leaving hard sharp edge to scratch or cut child. [...]cheap in appearance and composition.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
