This product was highly recommended to me by other moms, but I have found it to be an expensive useless item. It's not safe to place on a table or on a chair while baby uses it, since it has no strap or harness, so am I supposed to place my baby on the floor for her meals? My daughter is a person and deserves to be at the table with us while we eat, on our level. Plus she hated sitting in it and would arch her back, trying to escape after only a minute. It seems to me that even if she had tolerated it better, it's use would have been limited to a couple months at best before she knew how to sit well. She learned to sit well completely without assistance from any chairs. I find the hook-on highchairs and feeding seats that strap to your dining room chairs to be a much more practical, space-saving, and efficient use of your money, since they are as portable as the bumbo and MUCH safer, plus they can be used well into their second year at least. I plan to return this, in spite of the fact that it was a gift and didn't cost us anything, if that shows you how useless I find it to be!

My daughter started sitting in this since she was three months and I think it helped her with her balace. She loved seeing the world from an upright position and it's great to put on the floor and have them look at you while you're cooking.

i bought this for my son in green it work pretty good but he out grew it really fast and the tray was good to but i wouldnt buy again. i ended up buying the rainforest booster seat thats great!!!

LOVE this bumbo seat. My little one is 3.5 months old and we're constantly rotating her from her swing, her bouncer, her play mat to the bumbo seat. She loves it, too.

Love that it gives little ones an opportunity to sit up and be part of the group while exercising their neck muscles. Also, the seat is super-easy to clean.

(Note: the photo accompanying this post is of my daughter in a BUMBO that was given to us. I believe it's several years old - so the color is more than likely not exactly the same shade of green.)

Believe it or not, babies as young as 6 months can have very strong opinions. My son did not like the Bumbo one bit. After talking with many moms, about 1/2 of them say the same thing...kid didn't like being constrained and would arch their back. I'm really surprised that this product has such a high rating. I would advise going to a consignment store and letting your baby sit in one before buying this product. You'll know right away if they are a Bumbo baby or not.

My baby was able to sit in this chair at 8 weeks (not for a long period of time) but it was so cute. Now that he is older it is great to sit him in to do anything. It is a great chair to bring with anywhere for him to sit in while I feed him.

I almost returned this item, thinking it was rather expensive and that my daughter would quickly outgrow it. But I am so glad I didn't! Looking back at all the items we bought... bouncy seat, swing, exersaucer, jumper and pack n' play... this is the one item we use the most. It's both a little armchair and a feeding chair, allowing your baby to sit-up safely before they are able to on their own.

Just a warning - this is NEON green - very bright. It looked mint green when I registered for it online.

I bought the other brand of infant seats and ended up taking it back and getting the bumbo. My daughter sits up well in it and plays with her toys. She started using it when she was 3 months old and is now 4 months and still really likes it. The seat is durable and portable. I liked that it is textured and she won't slide down like she did in the other one I had originally bought. Caution when you buy online with the colors. I bought the green and thought it was the sage green that they have in the stores and it was lime green when it arrived.
