I have twins and thought having bumbos would make things easier. For a very brief period one of the two we had was used. It then got later and it appeared our kids had not developed the muscle to balance side to side sitting after relaying on their bumbos. I tried making them useful when we needed booster seats, but they are able to tip out the side of them too easily. We tried adding a tray and it just made it impossible to get them out. People's kids who don't need it for sitting or even mine now that they are older find it fun to climb in and out of the chair, but I wouldn't waste my money again.

They work great and infants enjoy not being strapped in yet they can't fall out. Can be used at an early age.

It is so nice. you can put it any where you go. usually I have it in the kitchen on the table and I can cook, clean do whatever while she will sit there and watch me. She likes to go where ever I am! It may not always last long, but every secound counts!

This is a cute idea and if you want a chair like this the Bumbo is very durable and soft, yet supportive. However, it's definitely more of a commodity, not a necessity. We were really excited to get one, but have used it maybe a half dozen times. Now that our daughter is starting to try to sit up on her own we don't use it since the posture she uses to sit in the Bumbo is so different from what she needs to develop to sit on her own.

we were looking for something to promote him sitting up on his own. This fits the bill. Its very supportive, he cant slump over but im intrested to see how long he will fit in it because it is so snug. he is 6 mos and he still has room. its very light and doesnt take up much space. No toys are built in so we have to keep giving things to keep him busy, of course our lil guy has the dropsy's all the time.

I liked this for feeding my baby before he was big enough to sit on his own, however it really only came in handy on a few occasions. Nothing a bouncy seat cant really accomplish. Not to mention my dr told me that this toy is not good for baby's posture. They technically arent supposed to be sitting up like this and it's not good for their spinal development. I only used it a few times so I"m not that worried about it but all in all it was a waste of money.

This will be our second Bumbo seat, we are buyng a different color because we are having a girl this time. Can't wait to try the little tray for it that we didn't have last time! We go to the beach a lot and it makes it very easy to sit baby in the sand.

My son is 3 months old and loves this! He'll sit in it until he falls asleep, just looking around and watching whats going on! He's decided he doesn't like his swing or bouncy chair anymore so this has saved my life! He is a little big for his age, so I can't imagine him being able to use this for much more than 1 or 2 months, but for the price you can't beat it!

I am so sad my son is starting to get too big for his Bumbo, he loves sitting in it and playing with his toys now that he is almost sitting on his own at 6 months old. Also, we've used it as a mini high chair for feeding when he started solids at 4 months old. We've used it since he was 8 weeks old and he's always enjoyed the sensation of sitting up on his own!

How did people raise babies without the Bumbo? My daughter has used this since she was 2 months old. She loves to sit up so that she can see what's going on. She's 6 months now and sitting on her own, but still loves her Bumbo. Don't waste your money on the tray though...it's worthless.
