I bought this for my daughter thinking a sweet pink potty will really encourage potty training. The seat is comfy and it is a great step stool but that is about it. Every time she sat on it the lid would fall foward on her back unless I kept it far enough away from the wall to let the lid flip all the way over to the ground and my bathrooms do not have that kind of space. The foam seat soaks up urine, and nothing seems to get it out. The seat itself can be placed on the regular potty and that was not very good either, it would not stay firmly in place on the big potty, when my girl would reach for the toilet paper the seat slid out, I was there with her so we did not do that again. Also after she potties, it is not an easy clean. There are 3 pieces to be cleaned and it is not something that she could do with out help. I wanted her to be able to potty in it and be able to take the "bowl" out her self and pour it in the potty, then flush. She would not be able to do that with this one. I sold in the garage sale within 2 weeks after buying it.

I chose this model in blue for our son because I thought it was so comprehensive: use it over the toilet, as a stool or in the car. The center hole is too small to accomodate both points of voiding, the stool raises him too high to stand at the adult potty, and snapping it onto the adult seat isn't convenient enough to be practical. When potty-training, there's a brief window of opportunity that barely allows time to pull down pants let alone snap this in/ out of place. If he were the only one using the bathroom it might be a different situation but he has to have something to use in the powder room on the main floor where he spends most of his time. Even on his own toilet by his bedroom, he simply uses the same stool his dad used to potty train 30 years ago. We only use this one to be accessible when we anticipate a BM so he can use it himself whenever he feels the need. Otherwise, he sits backwards on the regular toilet seat like my mother did with us. Unfortunately that involves complete removal of the lower body clothing. In the year 2009 there has to be a better solution...

The seat soaked up and smelled of urine despite cleaning. It is disgusting, molds unless you wipe it dry immediately.
Babies R Us did not allow me to share what really happened w/this potty. Seeking BBB since my voice can't be heard. They have a copy of this message, let's see if it's heard.

The construction is good, but worthless w/out the seat. The seat CANNOT be cleaned no matter what you do. Parents, don't work even harder than you do to try to dry a smelly seat....

It's hard enough w/a two year old and newborn but when you have a Pottyseat that holds water and cleaner in the "cushion" it's not worth it. I have worked w/this potty because my daughter learned on it but it's not worth it Moms!!! It's in the dryer right now on high, (the only way I just learned you can get it semi-dry). Don't buy it, even if it were 1 cent! I called the company asking what to do about the seat and they wanted me to send everything about when, where and why I bought it, info about what ages of children were using, etc. They were of no help and I certainly am looking twice about buying safety 1st items after that phone call. DON'T BUY THIS!

We threw out the old one because we thought IT was hard to clean! The seat is NOT solid rubber, but painted FOAM. Try getting the mess outta that! The foam seat was still wet after a weekend vacation and smelled of...

The sponge like seat quickly became pee soaked and smelled. Not a good seat.

The seat is very comfty, but thats about it! It stains easily and pieces of the foamy seat fell off. Holds urine, very unsanitary. Tried cleaning it but still hold urine smell. The top to close it is very bad, when my daughter sits, the top falls back and pushes her, doesn't hold against the wall.

the cover does not allow you to rest the potty against the wall, and the potty would slide out from under my daughter when her heel would knock it.

The foamy seat, though seemingly comfortable, absorbs urine-- super GROSS! No more foam seats in my house. Hard plastic is just fine. We bought a princess potty and a Frog potty (the frog was really inexpensive) and my girls love both.
