The underarm is my first choice, but it depends on which method I'll be able to get my son to comply with. The thermometer will record your previous temp, and start beeping and blinking red when it detects a fever! It's simple, and easy to use. I've used it on my newborn, along with myself and husband. We have no complaints!

Just chiming in to agree with so many others. This is totally unreliable and inconsistent. I'm throwing mine out...what a waste of money. How unsettling to have a sick infant and an unreliable thermometer.

I thought this would be great to have but it gives wrong readings half the time. I don't even use the underarm but if you read the instructions that come with it, it does explain that the underarm temp will be very low because on this one, 98.6 is a fever with the underarm. But when I use the other pieces on my son, it will give two totally different readings within 2 minutes. I've had this problem before but tonight it told me my son had a high fever only to have it be 97.7 a few moments later and then 99.8 with another thermometer. I have a cheap electric thermometer from [...]that is much better.

Every time I have used this I got low readings. I agree with the other reviewers, this set is completely inaccurate! Such a waste of money!

We received this thermometer in a kit. I registered for it after reading decent reviews. I tested the oral and arm attachments on myself and always got temperatures in a range of 95-97 degrees. I don't trust this thermometer and wouldn't recommend it. We are now in the market for a new one.

This thermometer is very easy to use and works well. I've even taken multiple temps with this and another brand/style and they were within .1 of each other, so I feel comfortable with its accuracy.

I turned it on the first time to see how it worked, but I didn't actually use it. I went to use it again but unfortunately there was no second time because it wouldn't turn on. Garbage! If I could give this zero stars, I would!
