This thermometer is absolute junk. Tried to take my daughters temp and it was reading 97 and sometimes 96. Temps varied even if done consecutively right after each one. Tried it on myself and same thing. Save your money and spend a little more for a better ear thermometer like Braun. Tried that one and it was consistent with temps and seems to be way more accurate.

Product needed a battery as soon as I opened the package. I replaced the battery, and it's still not working.

This is an absolute piece of junk. Pay close attention to the reviews on this......I wish I did. The company should refund any money that has been spent on this because it is worthless.

We received this product as a baby shower gift (registered for it) and our daughter is now 19 months. In all this time, it has NEVER given us an accurate reading. Even though I never write reviews, I decided to look up the product and write one after all this time to warn other parents. She has had low grade fevers that this thermometer did not detect. Recently, she had her first 102.5 degree fever and once again the thermometer was showing the happy face that means no fever AND reading something completely different every time we tried. The idea of an ear thermometer is great because it is so quick, but you cannot trust this product at all. I checked with my pediatrician and they use a Braun one, so I'm going to buy one of those and see.

This is the biggest piece of junk!! We opened it, it contained no instructions. It did not read accurate, only showed 2 temps 98.1 and 93.3. I know for a fact my childs temp was not 93.3! Could not find instructions for operation online either. Even the website for safety 1st did not have instructions on it. Made of very cheap plastic. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!

Horrible product. My children both had fever's of 102 this week, and this thermometer said 99 for both. Resulting in visits to the ER because I knew something wasn't right. Will never use again!

Awful product. Does not read temperature correctly and does not fit in child's ear well. Waste of money!!

This is possibly the biggest piece of junk ever created for something as important as temperature reading. Not wanting to drop the coin for the forehead scan, we decided this would work just as well. WRONG! From 23F to 107F in four readings is just the tip of the iceberg for this monumentally awful product. My advice? SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

I don't think they could make a worse product. Three times in a row now my baby has had a temp and this ridiculous piece of junk read it low. I would say consistently 3 degrees...at least. It's hard to tell since it's so drastically different every time you take it. It went from 98.8 to 102.9 in the same reading.
