We picked up this product after having a terrible time using the regular nasal sucker. The baby would cry and his nose would be so red from us trying to clear everything out. This product is so easy to use and has great suction (not too much or too little). No more unnecessary crying at our house! I totally recommend this product.

I initially was very disappointed with this product on 2 counts and was ready to throw it away. The first complaint was that I did not think there was enough suction, and ironically, once I did get it to work, the second was that it sucked so much snot out that you could not clean it properly.

After a few days of using the aspirator with no success, one day I got a hugely satisfying "glork" and a ton of snot came out of my daughter's nose. The trick was 1) holding her still, 2) getting a good seal (I've read that blocking the other nostril works well, but she's fighting me too much to do that single-handedly), and 3) making sure that the mucous is hydrated enough to come out. If it is dry, it won't work. Using a saline mist or taking a shower with her prior to aspirating usually helps.

Once I was able to consistently get snot out, the other problem came when she had so much mucous that it got sucked into the vacuum trap (the space between the machine and the receptacle). After much cursing at the designers of the device (and some internet surfing to write a scathing review), I discovered from another reviewer that you can pull the entire plastic receptacle piece off the handle and clean it. This is not made clear by the manufacturer's instructions. Once I realized this, I was very satisfied with the performance of the unit. Now if someone could just explain to a 16-month old why I need to do this...

I wrote a review earlier today saying that the snot would get caught under the collection cup and was very difficult to clean however I just realized the entire thing does come off completely so you can clean it. I have no complaints now, works WONDERFUL (I hold one of my daughters nasal closed while sucking the other and TONS comes out) I highly recommend it!!

When I first used this product it was just ok removing a little snot. When I discovered holding my daughters other nostril closed while using it TONS of snot came out. The only draw back was the snot got caught between the cup and the inside and it is super hard to get out. I have to shake it for 5-10 minutes over the sink to get it all out. I like how fast and easily it gets my daughter nose cleaned but wish I could remove the entire cup to get it all cleaned out.

I found this product to be very useful. I have a child who has allergies and I have purchased many nasal aspirators but found them all to be useless.

This aspirator while expensive works best when you close one one nostril while aspirating the other. If your child should have a clogged nose than use some saline nasal spray to loosen then aspirate.

The one thing I can say above all that is useful about this product is: it worked fast and with a wild two year old fast is GREAT!

From the day we got this aspirator, we loved it. He does cry, but is fine less than 2 seconds later. We tried the manual ones, only to be disapointed b/c they would break, or not have enough suction. My son was born in the winter, so he had a few colds, and this thing was a life saver!

This product is terrible! It lost it's suction ability in less than a week!!! Stick to the old fashion nasal aspirators!

Don't waste your money. This device doesn't even work. There is not enought suction. I would return it if I could and get my money back and buy something that my girls would benefit from.

I went with this product over the Gerber one, due to it saying Hospital Choice on it! I guess I am not sure what to think. It felt like it had good suction when I put my finger up to it. It did suck out snot, but did not seem to clear her nose, but then again they never do seem to get everything out. Whether it was that her snot was to thick or it just did not work, I do not know. I also got the NoseFrida which works well, but again does not get all of the snot.

Overall, I do not love it, but I am glad that I do have it.
