This product is great, my daughter will be three weeks old on the 31st. Im breast feeding but supplementing her with the similac soy(because i was having lots of trouble breast feeding when we first got home from the hospital) and its wonderful! We had her on enfamil for newborns and that instantly upset her tummy(gas, spitting up badly, and diarrhea) so i made the decision to switch her to similac soy. Smartest decision ever! She doesn't spit up hardly at all, and if she does its only a tiny bit and all babies do that regardless of what they eat. Her bowel movements were also back to normal! I would recommend this to any mom!

To those that say this formula causes discomfort....our pediatrician switched our 2 month old to Isomil Soy after she developed a cows milk protein intolerance and was passing blood in her stool. We were told to watch her, as many babies with this problem are also soy intolerant. Thankfully this was not the case for us and Isomil Soy worked like a charm. If your baby still seems uncomfortable, please have them checked by your pediatrician. There could be a bigger issue than gas & discomfort.

i tried using the formula wic provides and it would upset my sons tummy, he would stay up most of the night crying,and my husband and i would fight and argue all the time because he we so sleep deprived until i read about the similac sensitive soy based formula when i made the switch our lives completly changed for the better, my son became such a happy baby he smiles and plays so much hes a totally diffrent baby( i mean whos happy when their tummy hurts??)i know its not the cheapest one on the shelves but im so happy with it i dont mind putting out the extra money. i dont think i'll ever change to any other formula. i love it!!!

Those of you using the Similac Isomil Advance with the soy, in pink top...package is changing color to orange top..it says "Isomil Soy" and has Early Shield...I learned this the hard way..many store visits...great stuff!!! you can visit the similac website to verify this and other Similac product package color changes. my daughter is now 5 months old, I use it as a supplement to breastfeeding and daughter took it really well.

Our daughter was 2 wks old when she became intolerant to another formula. The pediatrician recommended this formula and it works great with our daughter who is now 3 1/2 months. I use the this everyday and she enjoys drinking this milk. Each child is different and the variety of milk's provided by similac is great. I've noticed that it does help my child with her colic and spit up.

after my son was born he cried for 2.5 months until his doctor put him on this magical soy based formula. we fed him once and fo the first time after he started this formula he did not cry because of having so much gas. with this formula he barely get gas. he is six months old now and still takes this amazing formula. we are very happy that our son is happy.

My 4 months old son does not like it. After finishing a few ounces, he would push away the bottle and starts crying really loud. It Seems like this formula is giving him discomfort.

This is the only formula that my son will drink. I had to supplement formula in the beginning because I was having breast milk supply issues and this was the only formula he would drink. I tried numerous other types and he would cry the entire time I tried to feed him and he would refuse to eat. He went on breastmilk only again until he was 7months and when we tried to introduce formula again he wouldn't take anything but this particular formula. I shake the bottle and it mixes well for me. He drinks it with out any issues. He has had really bad reflux since he was born but we are noticing that since he is back on this formula he doesn't really spit up that much anymore. He seems much happier. The only con is it smells bad. When he burps wow it is stinky but the stinky burps are worth the happy baby. Every baby is different this just happend to be the formula that worked for my little one.

WE HAVE TRIED MANY DIFFERENT FORMULAS.
THIS ONE WAS THE BEST FOR OUR BABY WHO SPIT UP MORE THAN MOST BABIES. AND IT SEEMED TO BE MORE GENTLE ON HER TUMMY. HER GAS WILL BE STINKY BUT WHO CARES IF IT WORKS FOR HER. I WOULD RECCOMEND IF YOU HAVE A FUSSY BABY THAT WONT SLEEP MAJORITY OF THE NIGHT. JUST TRY IT! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT WILL WORK FOR YOUR BABY TIL YOU TRY IT.

I tried a few different formulas as my daughter does not do dairy of any kind, we even tried the lactose free sensitive similac and she would puke and spit it up everytime, so we went right back to this one. Most other brands of soy constipate her, but this doesn't and she does very well on it. I was reading up and it is the ingredient "palm olein oil" that is in most of the other store and name brands of soy that complicates the constipation. Soy alone takes more time to digest, and with the added oil only complicates things.

The isomil does not contain that and it does very well for her. Yes she has stinky burps, yes her poop is an avocado greenish color, but it works for her and she does not spit it up! A happy baby is all that really matters to me.

I read where some people said that it clumps and does not mix well, I only have that problem if you put the formula in the bottle first before the water. I put water in first, then the powder and have no trouble at all.
