We've tried all the formulas out there, even Nutramigen. Didn't find any to be better than the other. Similac Organic has had positive results on our baby (good growth, elimination etc.), it does leave a milk film on the bottle because it has less chemicals in it than regular formula. Organic is the way to go and best way to build up the baby's immune system if you're not breastfeeding. You need as much help as you can to combat the toxins in the vaccines and environment. Earth's Best did not agree with our baby.

OK- I had my doubts but this stuff is amazing!
My son seems to have a dairy allergy perhaps to soy as well. Every time I went back to feeding him normal milk or soy based formula he would become extremely congested after his bottles. I finally went the high end stuff and although that helped it also gave him diaper rash.
Then it dawned on me, I can't drink any dairy except organic, my husband and son also have this issue. So what IF I try organic formula...
WELL I am so very happy to say it worked! He is back to being a happy breathing baby. No congestion, no runny diapers, no gas- just happy.
He does eat about an ounce more than normal.
I read with some concern about the residue in the bottle. I do not think this is bad. I breast fed my first baby and breast milk has that reside, it's almost oily like. I see this as a positive, I believe this makes the organic formula more breast milk like.
I cannot give this product enough praise.
Oh and as far as the sugar controversy- I MUCH prefer my child to have some sugar over fake processed sweeteners any day.

After experimenting with many formulas this is the only formula my daughter would drink. After being breastfed only for 5 months I guess she preferred the sweet taste she found in Similac organic. Thumbs down to Similac for not using organic cane sugar at the bery least. This formula also doesn't seem to fill my daughter up for long.I'll stick with it and hope she doesn't get constipated as other reviewers said.

Similac Organic is the only formula I have used for both my kids. Both my babies were breastfed and Similac Organic is the only formula they would eat. If you read the ingredients, all formula has sugar in it. It's just not always called sugar. The second ingredient in regular Similac is lactose. For those of you who don't know, lactose is sugar. Google it.

I breastfed my son exclusively for 7 months and he had horrible constipation issues- which breastfed babies rarely do. Around 7 months he was becoming disinterested in nursing and I was terrified that if we switched to formula the constipation would get worse. Ever since switching him to the organic formula all of the constipation went away! He hasn't been constipated since! He hasn't had gas or spit up issues while on this formula and it seems to keep him full.

Some people complain about this product not mixing well like the non-organic formula. I figure that there must be extra processing or chemicals used in regular formula that helps it mix better. So it leaves residue in the bottle- I'm going to wash it anyways so who cares. It's more important to me that it's organic.

Also it is only $3 or $4 more than regular formula, why wouldn't you use the organic version?

i have been supplementing BM with formula for my 10 weeks old...the hospital put the baby on similac advance, we continued on that for about 3 weeks...it made the baby gassy (too smelly)..then switched to organic version...baby was still gassy but was not smelly...sometimes baby is constipated (not sure if its the formula)...only problem is it doesnt dissolve well even after mixing for a very long time...tried with warm water..still leaves chalky residue

I started out on Similac Advanced Early Shield and decided to go organic, so I purchased Similac Organic. I switched without looking at the ingredients, bad mistake. I fed the organic formula to my 2 month old daughter and after the feeding, she was wide awake for three hours. I knew right away something wasn't right so I read the ingredients. The first ingredient is milk, followed by Maltodextrin and then Sugar (sucrose). Maltodextrin is a sweetener commonly used in "natural" sodas and candy. And they follow that ingredient with Sucrose which is basically table sugar. No wonder she wouldn't sleep!!I was not happy when I discovered this and was kicking myself for not checking into this before making my purchase, and feeding it to my baby. I could not return the formula since it was opened, so I immediately dumped it out and went back to the regular Similac formula. Here is an article done a few years back. [@]

We had been using Earth's Best because we wanted a formula without rBST in the milk, which is currently only available in organic milk. I had a bunch of Similac coupons though, so I gave this a shot. Boy, what a mistake! This stuff refuses to disolve, leaving chalky residue all over the bottles which leads me to wonder if it dissolves well in baby's tummy. Also, my son got extremely constipated from this formula and spent three days pooping little pea sized poop nuggets until I got the pediatrician involved. My advice: just use Earth's Best if you're looking for a good organic formula.

Breastfed exclusively for 5 weeks. Then started Similac Organic in bottles for some of the feedings. Our child liked the taste. (We tasted it too and it tastes good.) She also tolerated it well. However, it didn't keep her full between feedings like formula should. So we tried Similac Advanced and we are much more pleased with Similac Advanced. She likes the taste, tolerates it well, and it keeps her fuller between feedings than the Organic. Also doesn't mix as well as Similac Advanced. Leaves a film on the sides of the bottle.
