Purchased this as a cover for my son's crib. It spanned the entire length of the front of his crib, covered the rough spots he had chewed and kept him from hurting his mouth further. I checked out other teething covers in stores, this one blows them all out of the water!!

Pros:
Thick sturdy material
Easy to wash, didn't shrink
covered the entire front of his crib
Heavy duty Velcro straps

Cons:
Velcro straps don't perfectly match up with the crib slats, so I have to stretch them tight to fasten and one in particular comes loose occasionally.

The product straps on easily with the velcro. My daughter is 12 months and hasn't tried to remove it (yet!). It is machine washable which is a must for anything I buy. I have the DaVinci Parker crib for my daughter and it has a bowed front. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOUR CRIB IS SIMILAR!! It doesn't reach the edges because of the dip in the middle. It leaves maybe 2 inches unprotected. I didn't think it was a big deal to begin with (and once her teeth were out, i wasn't about to leave her in the crib without anything to protect it) BUT of course, my daughter gnawed the heck out of those 2 inches. I bought this back when i was pregnant, hoping that we'd be able to keep our crib pristine, and we weren't able to. Disappointed. Especially with how pricey this is. For what it is, It isn't worth it.

I bought this for my 20 month old daughter. She has a bad habit of chewing on her crib. This item might be useful for a MUCH younger child, but mine had it off in less than 2 minutes. It velcro's into place and most babies can figure that out quickly. For this to be useful, I will have to sew it onto my daughter's crib. Also, for [$], I think it is WAY overpriced. It isn't worth more than $7. I thought since it was [$] it would at least come with the teething toy's pictured, but it doesn't. All in all I would not recommend this product, unless they took about $20.00 off the price.

Purchased this after I realized my baby was destroying his expensive Delta convertible crib. It fits great and I like the velcro "hooks" for hanging teething toys on. He has not been able to pull it off and it's nice and cushioned. Purchased the gummy side rail protectors and they were WORTHLESS. Just ordered the Leachco side rail cloth from Babies R' Us online since they don't sell them in my store.

This product looks great and is SUPER easy to attach and remove - for both my son and myself. It definitely didn't protect the rail as my son was able to figure out how to unhook the Velcro before he was even teething. As a result - the rail cover would be removed by him and he would continue to gnaw on the railing. It was absolutely no deterrent and I think it was worse when there were toys on it. He would unhook the cover immediately to get better access to his toys. This product needs to be secured with knot ties or some other baby-proof system. Velcro just doesn't cut it.

I have a Baby Appleseed "Davenport" convertible crib and this teething cover is not quite large enough for the tabs to connect. If I pull really hard, they almost touch. The cover needs to be a few inches longer so that the tabs can attach. I would definitely measure before buying this product. Aside from the size, it seems to be of decent, though not excellent, quality. I would prefer a heavier textile. Though I was disappointed by the thin material, I do like that the velcro tabs are finished on the edges. The edging will help to keep it from unraveling in the wash.

Overall, this is a great product! A tad-bit pricey & I wish it came in other colors, besides just white & that they also sold an attachment for side rails... but I highly recommend it!!! Since our 7 month-old daughter learned how to stand up in crib, she had been gnawing the crib rails (leaving her teeth marks along the rail & wood stain color dripping down her chin... sigh...) our daughter has a convertible crib (sleigh-style w/ rounded rails) & it fits this crib style perfectly, but from some of this product's other reviews, it doesn't appear to fit standard crib rails (only sleigh-style rails) .This product even has velcro hooks so you can attach your baby's teething toys to it.

Great idea, but child figured out in no time how to remove it. The teether is attached by velcro straps. Child can easily pull it off with one tug.

This cover looks great and worked great until my son was old enough for it to actually serve it's purpose. Once he was able to stand (which is when you start worrying about them chewing the rails) he was also able to take the cover off of the crib - in about 5 seconds flat. It's just hook and loop closures which any child has mastered by a year of age.

He yanks the cover off, throws it into the crib or on the floor, then proceeds to chew the rail. I put toys on it, but apparently pulling the cover off is much more fun.

It would work much better if it were snap closure (I think) or even if it tied, the way the bumper pads do. At least then I could put a knot in it and make it difficult for him to remove.
