The crib pad fits VERY snugly over our Sealy mattress. It is a bit tricky to get the pad on over the mattress and between the crib rails. I usually have to lift one end of the mattress outside of the crib to get the pad on, then repeat at the other end. However, I don't mind this so much because a snug fit means we have a safe baby.

We ALWAYS wash the pad in the gentle cycle and tumble dry LOW. This has kept all seams and elastic perfectly in-tact for eight months and counting. However, I will mention that we have two crib pads (one for emergencies at night time when I don't have the time or energy to clean), but we rotate using them so we always have a clean one on hand.

After 2nd wash when placing back onto the mattress the elastic ripped on one corner. Now every time I wash and put it back on it rips further almost to the point of not even staying in place. Will be looking for a different brand.

Washed it in a regular washer using Dreft soap. No problems, no shrinkage. Dried it on a low setting till it was dry.

For those parents who are conerned about the potential negative effects of PVC and other chemicals used in baby products, this mattress cover is not for you. Although the internet description states that the cover is PVC free, the tag attached to the product clearly says that the bottom layer of waterproof lining is made of polyester and PVC. Buyer beware, if this is important to you.

It does it's job, but it is poorly made & will not last long. I bought this product expecting that because it was Sealy, that it would be of good quality. After washing it for the second time, as I was putting back on the mattress, it ripped! Just from my hands! The pad is fine, but the surrounding elastic is very poorly made.

I have 2 of these which I alternate on my son's crib when I change his sheets. I have had no problems at all! They've been washed repeatedly and never ripped. They're soft and hug the mattress nicely (I do have a sealy mattress). My son is 17 months old so I have been using them for well over a year and they're still in great shape!

I read many reviews before choosing to buy this mattress cover. And I'm very pleased so far. It fits my crib mattress perfectly (it's not a Sealy mattress). It's soft and not plasticy. I have only washed it a couple of times so far because I also use a mattress pad on top of it.

When I brought this pad home, I immediately washed it on normal mode and dried it on delicate. When I pulled it out of the dryer a seam was ripped and a bottom corner had torn away from the elastic. I also noticed that the stuffing balled up.

This pad is good and waterproof, when the diaper leaked, it didn't go through. We doubled up with one layer of pad and sheet then another. Worked wonders for late night leaks. However after the first wash the corners ripped. It still fit and didn't get hard like the Babies R Us brand but it did rip.
