      The remote control takes a 9volt battery and does not have an on/off switch so the battery dies very quickly. The remote has to be very close to the toy in order for it to work and even so, thats a 50/50 shot at it working.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          This toy I thought was gonna be GREAT!!!
          This toy was bought for my 2yr old son for xmas!! Since Christmas I had called the company for a replacement and am ready to throw out the replacement!!! The range needs to be super close for the bus to turn and it just doesn't last as long as you would think!! Meaning the toy is junk!! Its not almost a year later and it hasn't been played with xmas time!!

          NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!! look for another remote control car

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          This is an easy remote car for my 2 year old. He loves using the remote and just pushing it himself. The only bad thing with the remote is you have to be pretty close for it to work.

            While the school bus was cute, fun to play with and the remote had good range. It's durability was very poor for the amount of money we spent on it ([$]).Within two weeks, the bus would not turn - it would only go forward, even when pressing the turn button. I tried new batteries, but that did not resolve the problem. This was a Christmas Gift for our son. We attempted to get our money back. However, due to the purchase date, we were not refunded or given the option to replace.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            I bought this for my 2 year old daughter this christmas because her brother was getting several remote control toys. I knew she would want his and I found this one. It is squishy and VERY easy for her to control. I like the fact that there is only one button. The only downfall on this product is that you have to remove a bazillion screws just to get the batteries in & out. I sure hope they last a while.
