The tank builds black mold inside and you are unable to clean it. The water-vinegar solution they recommend for cleaning doesn't not help at all. Poor design. I don't like it. It didn't work for me.

I researched and found this brand and type of humidifier to be the best. I like the way it looks. It is quiet, with only a whisper sound. It works great in our big bedroom. We have it on a nightstand. You can tell the difference when it is on and running to when we forget to turn it on at night and we wake up in the morning. It really works well, last a few days without filling it up, and the cone design makes the steam look like a volcano when it comes out. Pretty neat.

Received this as a shower gift this past weekend and ended up using it the last 2 nights because I was suffering from a cold. It has horrible range and is really only good for making the floor/bedding slightly damp. Unless my face was direcly in the vapor it didnt help at all. The vapor pretty much just comes out and floats right down to the floor. Not powerful enough to add moisture to a whole room.

I am disappointed about the poor quality of the current "Drop Shape" cool mist humidifier. I acquired one a little over 1 year ago and it is EXACTLY what it's designed to do (as stated in the advertisement) i.e. whisper quiet and provides all the humidity needed to have a comfortable house and home. I love it in every way.
Here lies my disappointment; I recently wanted to acquire one for my son's bedroom however had to return it twice due to the poor quality of the build (bought them at Baby's-R-Us)
A few things are greatly lacking:
- The motor is no longer "whisper quiet" (returned the two of them mainly for this reason);
- The quantity of humidity that it provides is much less than the "old" one I already have i.e. if the "new" one is at maximum capacity on the dial, it's the equivalent of the minimum setting on the "old" one (and I'm not even exaggerating here as we can clearly see the quantity of mist coming out of the nozzle). Therefore, the "new" one does not provide enough humidity to suite our household needs;
- Furthermore, it's obvious just by looking at it, that the materials used to build the recent humidifier is of much less quality, mostly the round component that generates the ultrasonic humidity.

What's aggravating is that the "old" one is perfect in every way and we can't rely on a large company like Crane to provide us with consistent quality products like this one. Sad times indeed.

We set this according to the manufacturer's reccomendations. It did not raise the humidity at all in my daughter's 160 square foot bedroom.

It leaks out the bottom. The directions even tell you not to place it on carpet or hard wood floors, so unless you have tile in your bedroom don't buy it. I wold LOVE to know what all these people who gave it good reviews are doing Bout this???

I LOVE this humidifier! I have been using it for over a year and it works perfectly. It is very quiet, unlike many other models at the store. It lasts at least 2 days without having to refill after running all night. My son loves the cool design and it really helps keep his skin from getting too dry and keeps the nasty dry cough away. The cool mist is great and I don't have to worry about anyone getting burned on accident. I like that it doesn't take up too much room on a dresser unlike some of those rectangular boxy models. I am very happy with this product and will be buying more for other rooms in my house. I highly recommend!

This does everything it is supposed to. Easy to use and clean, great mist output, so quiet I don't notice it there. I have the frog (I am not a kid) and it is so cute. I'll get a second one - much easier to manage than a big whole house unit.

This is super quiet and works great! Easy to refill and looks cool too! Really helped my baby while she had a cold.
