We actually have three of these. Twin boys, plus a live-in cousin, all approaching the age of 3.While it is true that the handlebars don't really turn the wheels enough to make the vehicle turn well, that has never been an issue for our little ones. This has been one of those toys that has been fun at all ages / stages. Before they could walk, they would play with the buttons and whistles, which are fairly entertaining. Then after they mastered walking, they began to load up their favorite things in the seat and push the toy all around the house. (They have never ridden it all that much.) Pushing their "choo-choo" (as they call it) is still one of their favorite things to do.Now that they are all close to turning 3, they run and push them around the house together, and I will admit that they have even taken them outside and up their play slide (which is only a couple feet tall). They push them down the slide, standing up behind (not recommended LOL). I guess boys will be boys.We just bought another one for their cousin who turns one in a month!

We got this because of the reviews, first thing I noticed is the wheels are not round so when you roll it on a hard surface it does not roll smooth its actually really bumpy and the stearing does not work as well. You can only steer maybe 3 degrees so not sure what the point is of having the steering wheel if you cant actually turn the toy around.

About Me First Time Parent, Working Parent
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 17 months old daughter. She likes it but the toy does not keep her entertained for long like the apps on the IPAD. (I'm so glad that I have it. She uses it more than me, lol, seriously). This product does not really help with learning as I expected since only the first four letters are taught. She likes the ABC tune that plays but I wished that it actually sung the letters.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me First Time Parent
My son got this as a 1-year birthday gift from his grandmother. He has enjoyed playing with it, especiall pushing it from the handle in the back. He cannot steer it, as the wheels hardly turn and he has not figured out how to ride on it. Since it is so light weight, when he does sit on it, it topples over easily. This produce will do okay, but I think there are better ones out there.

I bought this for a one year old who is learning to walk. It really helped to steady him and he loves the bright colors and sounds.

About Me Working Parent
We got ours when my son was like 10 months. he started using it as a walker when he was 12. wasn't working as a walker too much but he liked it and with my secure he was doing fine. few months later he started riding on it, we got him another one for the outside (different car but still fisher price). he loved it! that was the only toy he would use outside all the time. he used it every day at home too. we gave one to our friends son and they used to ride them together. my son is almost 4 now and he is now into different things but it still happens once in a blue moon that he takes that out of his closet. it was a good toy. my son used it nonstop since he was about 1,5 year till he was 3. it still works well, just the stickers got a little destroyed but not too bad for the use we did.
cute bot nothing different

About Me First Time Parent, Stay At Home Parent
We got the Time to Learn Ride-On for our daughter when she was 9 months old. She is now 17 months old and this has been her favorite toy since the day she got it. The wheels are great and the ride is very smooth, inside and outside. I do wish the handle bars controlled the steering a little more. But, my daughter has adapted well to turning it without the handle bars. At 9 months old she loved sitting on it and being pushed around the house (that was back breaking after a while, but she sure enjoyed it). When she was just beginning to walk, around 12 months, she loved using it as a crutch to help her walking. Now-a-days she rides and pushes it all day long, inside and outside. She occassionaly will press the buttons. But, mostly she just loves to be active with it. I specifically bought this ride-on because it did not have tons of crazy extra buttons.
