My 2 1/2 year old daughter was interested in playing with a friend's toy hair dryer, curling iron, etc., and then I found this toy that included all of that. I originally found it on [...] (already put together so I can't speak to that) and my daughter just loved it, did all our hair, etc. We just had a house fire and am looking to replace it. It is a little flimsy, I guess, compared to say Step 2 products, but not like it falls over. The price has come down on it, making it a better value, especially since it has all the accessories, and the Step 2 vanity comes with essentially a mirror and comb.I will, in all likeliness, buy this product again. Nervous about having to put it together though. But, it's the only one like it.

THE MIRROR ALSO HAS TO BE AGAINST THE WALL OR IT WOULD NEVER STAY IN PLACE SO SHE COULD SEE HERSELF. THE ITEMS IT CAME WITH ARE CHEAP PLASTIC (BARRETTS, HEADBANDS,ETC) BUT I ASSUMED THEY WOULD BE. SHE LOVES THE ITEMS THAT MAKE NOISE AND SHE IS REALLY INTO DOING EVERYONES HAIR, THAT WAS THE FINAL REASON OF HOW I PICKED THIS VANITY OVER THE OTHERS THAT HAD BETTER REVIEWS. I THINK IT IS FINE FOR THE PRICE AS A SHORT TERM TOY FOR A LIL GIRL 2-4 YRS.         very disappointed that the entire item had to be put together. i mean each little item is made of plastic which had to be cut out and sanded off because it leaves rough plastic egdes. for the price i expected the small items to be already assembled at least.

          This took longer than expected to assemble because there are many pieces. The vanity itself is cute but I had to tape the mirror so it would stay in one place so my daughter could see herself. One of the biggest challenges was cutting the accessories out and filing the excess plastic off so they would not scratch my daughter. Also, the accessories do not make sound, the removable base makes sound, which was very dissappointing for me. This is the reason I chose this particular item. I plan on exchanging this item.

            My daughter received this vanity from her Mema for Christmas. It is very colorful which is nice. I disagree with the people that complained about putting it together- you have to be smarter then what you are working with.
            It is not as thick of plastic as like lil tykes stuff but it is still durable.
            my daughter LOVES this and plays with it every day. I even added a lil pretend cordless phone so she has a lil beauty shop set up. Keeps her busy for hours!

                The product was bought for my 2 year old over a year ago for Christmas. It is very flimsy and a pain putting it up. We had to lean it against the wall for the mirror to sit right and she never ever played with it. You can tell it is made out of cheap plastic. Needless to say, it got thrown away!
