By the time my son turned 2, his highchair had become disgusting. The vinyl was cracked from washing and crusted food was trapped everywhere. He'd gotten to the age he wanted to sit at the table with us. I found booster seats to be unsteady and equally unsanitary. My son is now 6 and another is 4 and they both have their own. They love being able to sit at the table comfortably. They can get up and down easily, they can sit with proper posture- which is very important, and it's a breeze to clean. It gets pushed in just like the rest of my dining chairs so it doesn't take any extra space like a highchair. I would still probably use a standard highchair for babies since they tend to fall asleep after/during eating, but for toddler on up, this chair is THE BEST thing since sliced bread. It's solid wood and will later be their desk chairs. This is a forever piece of furniture. I've gotten my money's worth a hundred times over. You and your child will LOVE it!

We really like this high chair and my baby girl seems to like it too! It is pricey, but looks great with our furniture so that's a plus. It is easy to clean my daughter seems happy with sitting in there too.

the tripp trapp stokke high chair has been our recent purchase which now makes our second one.
Not only is it functional, but good looking too. It is sturdy, takes a lot of abuse from the kids, and has been strong enough to support us too!
Because it is attractive, we use it for more than just meal times.
my son that is 2.5 love the tripp and when he push him self from the table i fill confident that this highchairs will not flip back ( 8 month on the it and counting ).
when our friend that come to visit us with kids there is always a fight on who will seat on the tripp.
Must say, these chairs get their investment worth...and always get complemented on by our friends. Money well spent :)

Our 6 month old absolutely loves this high chair -she loves to "sit" at the table with us and play while we eat and also does a wonderful job of eating her own meals in this chair. Clean up is a cinch because there is no plastic tray to worry with or dealing with the caverns and crevasses of a traditional high chair. This chair will last our daughter until she is big enough to sit at the table in an adult seat - I predict 6 years from now. We did get the baby seat attachment and have the cushions. I will buy another one when her sibling arrives two weeks after her 1st birthday. Did I mention it takes up 20% of the space of a traditional high chair? So convenient!

Since buying this product, my life is no longer a tragedy of emotional desperation. Those plastic high chairs with their multitude of crevices and seams were driving me completely insane when it was time to clean the high chair. So my first priority with this chair was the ability to clean it easily. The Stokke is far and away the most easily cleaned high chair that I have seen. It's also pretty, easy to assemble, lightweight, sturdy, etc., etc., but I have to say that with the ease of cleaning, I would still love it even if it were hideous.

I ordered my second one after having another baby. My oldest is six years old and still uses hers. It is so worth the money. Teaches baby about feedeing time and table manners. Ever wonder why kids are so difficult in restaurants? Because they are fed where its most convienient for the parent, which is anywhere and everywhere. Both my girls will sit thru a restaurant dinner with no problems!!!

I thought it was so chic when my friend got it for me for my 5th baby (and last). But there is no cushioning for her little bottom and when she would lean forward I was afraid she would brake the straps!

Haven't had a chance to use it, but it went together well for my-son-law because there was a manual. Unlike some other products. We like it because it changes with age and can hold up to 250 lbs so can be used as a spare chair.

While the installation instructions could be a little easier to follow, we love the ease of snapping our daughter into the "baby strap" and pulling her up to the table with us. The highchair pushes right under the table when not in use, and looks like just any chair--this is a characteristic of it that we particularly like. We were concerned that we would need to buy the extra $90 baby rail to use it, but found that as long as our daughter (now 7 months) could sit up, there was really no need for the rail. She loves sitting right at the table with everyone else, and we love having a home that still looks like adults live there.
