I'm sure it works well with Avent bottles, but don't try to use it with others. I've tried to use this with both VentAires and Evenflo bottles and it's not tall enough to accommodate them.

The sterilizer is a must have. It is so fast and easy to use. 2+2+2, 2oz of water for 2 minutes then let cool for 2 minutes, how easy is that? I work full time and pump for my 4 month old so I use this at least twice a day. I can fit my Advent Uno pump plus a bottle, lid, nipple, and seals. The instructions give you a variety of ways to fit multiple items at a time. You can use it for other items as well, like teething rings or any toys that need to be sterilized. I only gave it 4 stars because it would be nice if it had a steam vent or a water spout to empty contents before you open the lid.I am a new mom and read reviews religously before I bought anything so I hope this helps.

I consider Microwave Steam Sterilizer as the best way of dealing with the bottles.
This Avent product can hold up to six (6) 4oz bottles, and until my new born daughter started using 9oz bottles everything was perfect...

The design of the Sterilizer allows you to fit 3 bottles inside an "internal ring" and another 3 in an "external ring", leaving enough space to accommodate the other parts of the bottle as well.

The problem is that the internal ring wasn't thought for 9oz bottles that are basically wider than the smaller ones. The center column of the sterilizer gets in the way and doesn't allow the bigger bottles to fit correctly inside their internal ring path, making it very difficult to accommodate a large number of bottles.

For some people this might be a small issue, but I really don't like to repeat the sterilizing process 3 times a day.... is exhausting!

Since I'm using an Avent Sterilizer to sterilize Avent bottles, its really a shame they didn't take note of this obvious issue in the product design.

The Avent sterilizer is faster, roomier, and cheaper! It sterilizes in 2 minutes (compared to 6 mins with Dr. Brown's and 8 mins with BornFree). Plus is cheaper than the other two! It holds two more bottles (6 total) plus other small things you can throw in there. You can use any type of bottles, I use Dr. Brown's and Bornfree bottles. The only downsize is that 8oz bottles don't fit standing, you have to tilt them. I wanted to change it because of this, but read lots of negative comments about the larger model (Especially for Baby) not fitting in the microwave. Very happy with the product!!

This sterilizer is really a time saver, in case you are wondering about the clip that comes with it, it is for holding the teat (nipple) as you put it back on the ring, this way you are insured not to contaminate the teat with the bacteria on you hands.

I recieved this product during my baby shower, along with 14 4oz Avent bottles... I first sterilized my bottles the conventional way (in a pot of boiling water) and found that conventional way not only burned my hands but also posed the problem of me forgetting i had the bottles on the burner, and would sometimes leave my bottles boiling for too long. I once even melted 4 bottles because i had forgotten about it too long. Very dangerous... This sterilizer not only prevents me from burning my fingers when putting away my sterilized bottles but also does the job in 2 minutes in the microwave and since it is on a set timer. It automatically shuts off when done and i no longer have the problem of forgetting and leaving my bottles to sterilize for too long. This holds up to 8 bottles per cleaning and has a larger capicity than some of the other brands. Im really glad i got this product. Has made my life so much easier.

this sterilizer is great, easy to use highly reccommend it to all moms , I'm such a germaphobe so i feel good knowing my baby's bottles are sterilized and clean. I dont use the avent bottles in there and the playtex ventaire ones that i do use fit in there perfectly, i just wish the dome was a little bit taller so the 8oz bottles would fit...
