          I bought this for my 3 year old son because he has most of the Dr. Seuss books and loves them.
          I, personally, LOVE this story and it is probably one of my favorites. It teaches kids that if you use a resource too much, it will be gone (for example, the trees in the book). It also shows that everything affects everything in nature.
          This is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books and is very well-written and fun to read.
          However, although my son normally loves Dr. Seuss, I think he is either just a little young for the book, or he it is just his personality...but he does not want to read it again right now. He says it's "scary." I think it is the Onceler in the book. He is a "bad guy" and it never shows his face, just his arm. I think that scared my son.
          So I know we will definitely try this book again and eventually he will not be that scared.
          Great book, though, in my opinion.
