I used the orig playtex ventair for my first son 4 1/2 years ago and absolutely loved them as they cured his gassiness problem quickly. When I got pregnant last spring for my 2nd son, the orig Playtex ventaire bottles were no where to be found nor could you buy the nipples for them online. I still had some of the orig bottles and was able to buy the valves. I ended up buying the new Ventaire Advanced bottles and quickly noticed all the numbers rubbing off. How frustrating. I called playtex after using a Sharpee marker after every washing to mark the bottles. The girl tried to tell me that this was an uncommon complaint. i told her to go to all the major store websites and read the reviews as they all seem to have this as a ocmmon complaint. She was kind enough to send me, 3 coupons for $7.99 to use toward new Playtex bottles and a set of 9 oz bottles. She did ask for some numbers at the bottom of the bottle in a circle (they are month and year the bottle was made). i only had it avail on 1 bottle. it was 08/08. She sent me new bottle with 01/09 and told me i shouldn't have the problem w/those. in the stores, i always check the dates before i buy them. they are all still 08/08 and 09/08. i haven't tried the new bottles yet as my little guy is still on 5-6 oz. i'll be anxious to see how they work. but i definitely recommend contacting playtex directly to express your concern. luckily, i've never had the leak problem.

Comments about Playtex 1001354 Playtex BPA Free 3Pk Ventair Advanced Nursers - 9 Oz (Colors/Styles May Vary) (Boy):
Love the product, havent been able to use them yet as my son is due in December. I can't find nipples or the bottles in my town. Was told these bottles will no longer be available. The thing I don't like is how it says colors and styles may vary I get that but it says boy and I got sent pink bottles! Pink! Im having a boy not a girl but im just over dealing with toys r us/babies r us. My experience has not been pleasant, from registering to receiving expired cupons and other things.

Overall, these a great bottles
from West Islip, NY
Love these bottles up until my son started drinking 8oz bottles. I use powdered formula and once you put the 8 oz in it is impossible to put the full amount of powder in because of the shape of the bottle there is no room for the powder. Tried mixing in a separate measuring cup, but the same issue arose because of the bubbles formed when mixing. Overall, that is my only negative about the bottles. I used avent with my other 2 kids and they leaked all the time.
Easy to use and clean
from Los Angeles
Very easy to clean and assemble. I've tried several and these are the only ones my 10th month old son likes. He doesn't get gassy and he learned to hold them at three months.

About Me Parent of Two or More Children
I do like these bottles. My baby takes the bottle well. I think they are a bit of a pain to clean, just because there are 5 parts but it works out and I feel like they are cleaner than the avrg bottle. However, I have not seen much of a change in my babies gas. But over all its a great product.

The vent disks could be better. Had to replace vent disks three times cause the bottles constantly leaks regardless of the amount of cleaning and readjusting of the bottles. I could even set the bottles down on the table and it would leak all over the table and all over the floor.

THE BEST BOTTLES I EVER USED
By MOM OF THE BEST CHILDREN

I bought this bottles for my newborn and they are very excellent. My baby have less gas and doesn't fart as much as he did with the other bottles. Easy to clean and easy to put together. Never leak so I don't know why others said it leaks. I would definitely recommend this to others.

The nipples are inconsistent. One came out too fast and another came out too slow. Also, if the bottom isn't screwed tight, it leaks. Definitely not a good choice for baby's first bottle.

before my daughter was born, I made the huge mistake of buying a bunch of tommee tippee bottles & my daughter drank from them, sure. but she did have gas, not painful gas but she farted a lot, which didn't bother me until, about a month ago, she wouldn't drink from them hardly at all anymore, so it was really hard to get her to eat. so I bought a set of 3 playtex drop-ins bottles, which was a mistake because she doesn't drink too much out of them, either, even w/ a medium-flow nipple. and, luckily, someone got me a dr. brown's bottle for her at my baby shower, so I was using that ONE bottle mainly, until I finally got a 3-pack of these VentAire bottles and they are like a dream come true! my daughter and I love these bottles to death! she doesn't even like dr. brown's as much as she likes these (shocking, I know). she doesn't really fart at all now, at least not as much as she did when I was using the tommee tippee bottles or the playtex drop-ins. the angle makes it a lot easier to feed her, too. I also think she likes the standard size nipples, as opposed to the wide ones, a lot better. also, you really can hear the air being vented at the bottom, so you know they're working. but these do not leak at all, so I don't know why people say they do. I mean, a few times, I thought they might have been leaking but I think I just got some water from my faucet down the side when I was mixing it w/ the formula cause they don't any other time. I always make sure these are dry as a bone before I use them, though cause I just wash them by hand & then set them aside to dry. I also make sure the bottom is on securely. but these bottles are soo fantastic! they are even easier to clean than regular bottles w/ only 3 parts because w/ regular bottles, the bottoms stay put, so you have to worry about getting all of the soap out of the bottle & you just stand there, rinsing & rinsing it out until there are no more bubbles, which frustrates me & you don't really have to worry about that so much w/ these. so I most definitely recommend them, do not waste your money or time w/ anything else!
We really like these bottles. We tried several different types-Medela, Avent, Dr Browns, Nuk. The Dr Browns bottles work really well but are more of a pain to wash and put together, and harder to travel with than these. I was worried about these bottles leaking or not traveling well since the bottom piece is separate and has the vent holes-however it hasn't really been a problem. I love the angle so you don't have to constantly tip the bottle up so high and baby can sit up easier during feeding. They are a good price too compared to some other brands. I hand wash mine and haven't had a problem with the markings coming off yet.
I'll buy more of these...

These bottles work perfectly IF you follow the manufacturers directions! Which clearly state the bottom pieces must be dry or the bottle will leak! Also placing in bottle warmer loosens the bottom cap. It's not that difficult! There is a few more pieces to wash, but they clean very easily. These bottles have helped reduce our daughter's gas significantly. Eliminating the need for gas drops. Would definitely recommend!
