The formula mixing pitcher from Dr. Brown's eases formula preparation by allowing up to 4 bottles to be mixed and stored at one time. Unique features include a mixing blade that quickly dissolves formula with no clumping, and an adjustable stopper that prohibits the mixing blade from lifting above the surface of the liquid as to keep air introduction to a minimum. The compact size, locking lid, soft grip handle, and ribbed pitcher spout offer comfort and convenience when pouring. Disassembles without difficulty for easy cleaning. Dishwasher safe. BPA Free.

I actually discovered the Dr. Brown's mixer by chance. I was checking the reviews for the formula Nutramigen which we had been using at the time, and another reviewer proclaimed how this was great for mixing it.

We are currently using Enfamil Lactose free (the best by the way for a baby that is lactose intolerant)and the very first time that I mixed it, bubbles and clumps galore. It didn't matter how long I mixed it for, whether shaking or stirring, clumps, clumps and more clumps. I was frustrated and after all that mixing I felt like I had been lifting weights thats how much my hands hurt. Not to mention I was worried about my baby having gas and generally having issues with the formula due to all the bubbles and clumps. I decided I have to give this a try especially after reading all the great reviews.

I am completely sold. I wish we had discovered this sooner. It would have saved us so much money as we were weary at first of trying to mix the formula ourselves and were only using the premixed liquid. But after going through just 6 different formulas we had to opt for a less expensive approach.

I would normally make up all my bottles at night and store in the fridge and use the largest, the 9 oz. ones, for extra formula storage in case I didn't get the chance to make more in the morning or when needed . Now if I want I can make up my formula and store it in the mixer alone and pour it out into the bottles as needed or keep making up my bottles in advance and once the bottles are almost finished I can make up another batch and store in the mixer until I have a chance to clean and sterilize the bottles.

Also, using this mixer the formula comes out bubble free, and looks like I threw it right out of the can. This product is in my top three so far in terms of things I can't do without. Number one is our First Years Night and Day Warmer, number two is the Avent Electric Sterilizer and this now makes number three. Do not hesitate. I repeat do not hesitate. If you use powdered formula and who doesnt, you need this mixer.

I was excited to find a product like this because I wanted something that would make mixing formula so much easier...but I am somewhat disappointed. I filled it with the correct amount of water and added the formula and started mixing according to the directions which state that it should be completely mixed in no longer than a minute. FIVE minutes later I still had LOTS of clumps all over and when I picked up the pitcher there was a whole bunch settled on the bottom that the mixer wasn't reaching. I ended up having to get out a spoon and just mix it up and it took me so long I could have shaken all the bottles myself individually in the same amount of time. I decided to keep it anyway because it does help me make a big amount of formula but really I could have just bought a cheaper pitcher anywhere that would have worked the same because I just end up mixing it with a spoon every time. Since no one else seems to have had this problem in reading the reviews, I wonder if mine maybe has a defect, but I don't really see how...and it's definitely not my formula, I use very high quality expensive formula. So my opinion is that it's not really worth the money.

    We bought this as our daughter was starting daycare and we needed to make multiple bottles each morning. It's a great product and actually has helped make a better formula with less air and thereby less gas for our daughter.

    I use this every night to prepare bottles for the next day, it is wonderful for mixing the formula up and not have those icky chunks in it. Our first pitcher lasted a year with our first baby and then we started using it with our second baby and after a few months the handle broke off at the top. We bought a new one and used it just a few months and it broke as well. We are on pitcher #3 now because I still love it and no one else makes them. I just wish they would make the connection between the poll and the handle stronger or wider so it doesn't break off.

      Having this formula mixing pitcher has made feeding our baby SO MUCH EASIER!!

      We actually bought two of them so we always have one pitcher with formula ready in the fridge while the other one is in the dishwasher.

      I don't have any problems with clumps. Just move the little blue stopper to the lowest position so you can mix it fully from top to bottom. (The pieces all come apart for easy cleaning, but I just leave the blue stopper on.)

      Right now we're making 28 ounces of formula at a time. I just fill it up to the 28 mark with water, add 14 scoops of formula, and mix mix mix. I pump it 25-30 times, which is probably a little overkill, but it works.

      The best thing about this for us is that it has drastically reduced the amount of bubbles in his bottle. We use Similac Sensitive and Dr Brown's bottles, but my son still had gas issues until we started using this pitcher.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        This pitcher makes mixing formula a breeze. I was concerned about mixing the formula in the Dr. Brown bottles while trying to decrease air in the bottle. This mixer does just that. Low air bubbles and no clumps. It is nice to mix a whole day of formula in one setting. Once again, Dr. Brown makes another great product.

          When I bought this pitcher, I was concerned that I was falling for another baby product gimick. That was not the case. This pitcher is great! It is nice to be able to make a whole day's worth of formula at one time. You have to be a little careful while mixing or it will leak, but that is not really a problem. It is very convenient and mixes the formula well. Like all of the other Dr Brown's products that I have used, it is durable and well constructed.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            This product is great. With my first child we used the munchkin hand mixer until it stopped working. But it took forever and would clump. After that we used a regular blender, but it was loud and we usually were trying to make the formula at night when she was sleeping.
            I came across this by chance online after we found out we were having our second baby. I was kind of skeptical if how it would work, even after i got it home and opened it. However, we have been using it for about a month now and it's great. It mixes fast and easy leaving no clumps at all. it also stores right in the refidgerator, whereas,before we had to pour it into a cleaned out milk jug. It's also great because it makes just enough for one day so you don't have to worry about the formula going bad.
            I would buy this mixer again and again!

                I love this mixer! I've been using it for 2 months.
                It really mixes formula well without adding a ton of air bubbles to it.
                For a week or so my son was on a hypoallergenic formula that is really tough to mix and this mixer did it very well. Its also great for premixing formula for those odd ounce bottles like 5oz or even 4.5 oz, its nice because you have full control of how much to pour into a bottle without any waste.

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                  Why did I wait so long to buy this formula mixer, this product helps cut down on bottle prep time by at least 5 minutes for me. As a working mother I will take all the extra prep time I can get. Let's hope its as durable as other Dr. Brown's products.
