Overall, I am happy with my purchase. First the pros:

Formula is a consistent temperature. I stopped using avent bottles because of leaking - but I still use this to heat my playtex bottles with liners. For a 4 oz bottle it heats in four minutes, just as claimed. I always know that as soon as the light goes off it is warm - and always the same temp. If I fill the bottle to rim - maybe 4 1/2 oz - I take it out the second time the light goes off. If I heat an 8oz bottle - I take it out the second time the light goes off. Basically, you just have to figure out what works best for the bottles you have - buy this and experiment before baby comes.

It has worked correctly from day one, have had it for three months now.

I am glad that it does not shut off automatically because then I couldnt adjust for different bottles.

For the cons:

The cord to plug in is very short - so it has to be next to an outlet.

Uses water fairly quickly, but I keep a glass of water next to the warmer and I pour water in as needed - and only have to fill the glass about once a week.

I do spill a little water every now and then, but to save my changing table I keep a piddle pad underneath the warmer.

It does get hard water stains inside after using and drying out a bit - just wash about once a month to keep clean.

I began using this warmer when my son was a few weeks old. The directions state to fill water to the level of the formula/breastmilk and this method has worked well until recently. Now that he's at 5 oz he uses a taller bottle. Obviously if I fill it to the liquid line it would overflow so I'm stuck either running it through twice or heating it in a mug of hot water. If Avent made a warmer that heated taller bottles than I would say this is a great deal, but until then I will be searching for another warmer.

I received the avent natural complete set with sterilizer, warmer, and bottles. I love the sterilizer and the bottles, but the warmer is terrible. It takes far too long to heat up and is not consistent in the heating temperature at all. I will be throwing this in the trash and purchasing another brand of warmer.

I have been a loyal Avent user for 4 years. I have the Avent digital bottle warmer and LOVE it! After 4 years and the 3rd child it isn't working the way it should and I bought this new bottle warmer to replace it. What a horrible replacement! I burned myself the first time I used it! Since there is no automatic shut off switch or even a beep to let you know that the bottle is ready . . . the bottle keeps getting warmer. I have 3 kids now and got distracted while heating up a bottle for my newborn. It must have been about 5 minutes and I took the bottle out to test the temp, and I REALLY burned my wrist! What a poor design! I really wish they were still selling the digital warmer, it is a MUCH better product!

Purchased two of these for our twins based on some of the reviews below. Sorry, but it was a waste of our time and money. When the light goes off the bottles were barely luke cold and had to repeat warming process up to 4 times on both warmers to get to a "warm bottle."

So you are aware, this does not have a audio timer to let you know when it is supposedly complete. It also does not allow you to sterilize pacifiers like some other bottle warmers. It also uses a lot of water unlike other brands which use a small amount in comparison.

Good luck if you buy this and your kid(s) give you the time to get a warm bottle.

I thought this was a necessity, but boy I was wrong. There was nothing worse than getting up at 3 a.m. only to stand and watch this thing heat up. It heats up quick (for the most part), but has no timer or heat limit. Yes, it shuts of and on every few minutes, but if you pop a bottle in and go change her -- it gets WAY to hot. I thought for the money there would be a "3-minute" timer or something you could set. I took it back and -- call me a bad mom ... use the microwave. 20 seconds and I'm in business.

We got this to warm my sons bottles while I am at work. We didn't like it at all. It took 4 tries to warm the refrigerated bottle to lukewarm, which he didn't like. There seems to be no point to the setting 1, so why have it on there at all? We also didn't like the idea that it had no automatic off, since I have a 3 year old at home, I can't always run to the warmer immediately when it's done. It also needed an audible alert to a warm bottle. Again, I don't have time to babysit it. We returned it immediately, and I am looking for the old style avent warmer, which worked perfectly, I don't know why they ever changed it.

Originally I was pleased with this warmer. I did however, wish there was a noise to notify me with the bottle was warm. There were plenty of long nights when the bottle overheated because there is no timer with it. After I started using my kitchen timer it was smooth sailing until about 7 month. The device started taking longer to warm, and the inside piece shrunk. I contacted Avent and they recommended I add vinager to clean it properly and it still didn't work. Overall, product works too well in the begining and not well enough after jut 6 months. Purchase the warranty if you do purchase. Good Luck!
