Please read this entire thing. When you read all of the negative reviews of how this thing does not stay on the window, it rolls up, etc. These people DO NOT know how to read directions or install this correctly. This is a great shade and very easy to install, AND, stays up on the window.

This will address the rolling up comments. Take the shade out of the box and roll it out so the entire shade is flat. Leave it rolled out for about 2-3 days, this will form the shade and keep it from "rolling up."

Installing:

1st step. Clean your entire window with windex. Do this a couple of times and make sure the window is dry.

2nd step. Clean all 4 suction cups with alcohol ad let dry.

3rd step. Clean the window with alcohol just the same way you did with windex. Do this twice and let dry....not that hard right?

4th step. Position the shade in the window exactly where you want it and press the top two suction cups on the window. Press hard to get a good seal. HOLD THE PRESSURE ON THE SUCTION CUPS FOR 30 SECONDS OR MORE.

5th and final step. Do the same thing with the bottom two suction cups. Hold in place with pressure for 30 seconds.

Shade is installed correctly. Don't even take into account all the negative reviews because these people have no idea what they are doing. The whole process to "properly" install will take maybe 10 minutes or less. I hope this helps.

The suction cups are very cheap. Most of the time it takes me 3-4 tries to get one of them to stick to the window. Now that it's stuck, I don't touch it and take it off any more. The material is very very thin. If your winddows are not tinted, I suggest you get something that's thicker. I don't think it's wide enough to cover the windshield, so I just attached the top 2 suction cups, and let the bottom two hang down.

Our son still faces back and the sun was constantly in his eyes. We put it in the back window. He is able to relax more and so are we knowing that he is not getting sunburnt or sun constantly blinding him.

after much work trying to get the suction cups to stay, I managed to get 3 of them, but there was always one that would never stick no matter how wet or dry the cup was. it kept falling down right where the sun was.

Comments about Safety 1st Rear Window Shade:

Doesn't stick well and is pretty flimsy. Might be because I am trying to apply in the winter with cold windows but with the way this winter is going, that might always be the case. The size is good and it fits the back window great, if I could get it to stick better :(

Comments about Safety 1st Rear Window Shade:

I wish this product worked better because I love the thin mesh shade for the back window in my hatchback. The edges are made like those slap bracelets from the late 80s and they constantly roll back up. Also, the suction cups don't stay on the window. I've tried everything. Go with another shade.

Comments about Safety 1st Rear Window Shade:

Purchased in store & nowhere on the package did it indicate the giant "baby on board" logo. I was looking for a plain shade so I took it back without even trying to install in my car.

It doesn't stay on the window. I followed the instructions and I placed it below the defrost lines and it still won't stay on the back window. Maybe it would work better on a car that doesn't have slanted windows.

Comments about Safety 1st Rear Window Shade:

The shade is great for blocking sun and the size is perfect for my car. However, it comes undone from the window and rolls up to it's original size often. I have to stop the car and reapply the suction cups. In a 5 mile ride it came undone from different sides 4 times! And yes, I cleaned the window prior to application. Not worth the hassle at all. It's also very cheaply made.

Comments about Safety 1st Rear Window Shade:

I tried a few other shades before I saw this one. I'm still trying to find one that I'm happy with. The shade doesn't fit on the entire window, only a portion. This would be fine if I could just put it on one side, but I need it to cover the entire backseat of the car since I have twins that both need the sun blocked. So, the sun still gets into the car. The suction cups are horrible on this. I'm constantly reattaching the suction cups to the window for them to just fall off within a few minutes of me driving, when I can't fix it and my children are being blinded by the sun. I also don't like that it has the "Baby on Board" sign on the back.

Falls out of window, when it is up it doesn't block the sun very well because you can't hang it high enough in the window due to its design.

Very hard to attach to the back window and have it stay attached. Sides want to twist and curl which makes screen bunch up and hard to see out back window. Not sewn well. All 4 corners pulling away from material and ripping.
