Though this puzzle is labeled 3+ my 18 month old LOVES it! He quickly got the hang of picking up the wrecked cars with the magnetic tow truck. When I first purchased this online I was concerned about wether or not the magnets and the metal were securely placed. I'm glad to say that this puzzle is very well built. The magnet is stored completely within a plastic housing that would be difficult to open, and the metal seems to be placed deep within the wood cars so I believe that to be secure as well. I love the graphics, they are brightly colored and fun. I also love the fact that the puzzle is wood and not cardboard. At 18 months my little guy is interested in eating cardboard. It's also great that this puzzle will last through a couple of children and then some. Overall I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

We purchased this puzzle because we have a similar one that is bugs with a magnetic bug net that our son really enjoys. This puzzle is much to tricky for my 2.5 year old and to be honest his Mommy and Daddy too. We find ourselves trying to fit cars into the wrong holes. They are entirely too similar for even college educated adults to do as well. Also, I liked that the cars had racing numbers on the side of them, but perhaps they could have put the numbers in order so that you could help teach a young child sequential counting.

My 3 year old son plays with this game. He gets a little frustrated because it is not very obvoius where the different cars go, but he enjoys pulling up with the magnet which does work well.
