I LOVE this gate, not only because it is environmental friendly but truly works for us. When I was shopping for gates, I knew I didn't want to drill into my walls or spend a ton of money. We just needed something to keep our infant away from the stairs.

I was skeptical when I saw this product, mostly because of the inexpensiveness of it,but liked the look of it and the cost. When I put this at one end of the stairs, it was tight enough and it was pretty sturdy! An infant who is just learning to move around would not be able to knock it down. This gate is also easy to store, it fits nicely in my child's small closet.

It does the job!!

Got this gate because I wanted a simple gate to put on my two year olds bedroom doorway at nap time. It did not fit her doorway at all. Returned it immediately.

Our 1 yr old son figured out how to climb this gate and his toes get pinched in the holes.

Not sturdy; poor design (My 8 mo. old son started climbing the gate by putting his toes in the holes of the gate.)

I really like this gate for the first few months that I used it. Locked very tightly in place with pressure. It did take some paint of the wall though since it was so tight. I know think I need to look for a new gate though because me 16 month old nearly scaled over it by putting her little toes in the holes...not a good design! I would not buy this again.

Could not get the gate to stay up at all! I tried it in several locations in our home, but could not get the tension to secure it. I do not recommend this gate I will be returning the 2 that we purchased!

I saw this gate in the store and I loved the look of it and that it's made of recycled plastic and bamboo.

After reading the mixed reviews I wasn't sure if it'd work well for us, or even work well at all. One customer said that their little dog knocked it over without a problem, and I wanted it to keep my black lab out of the livingroom when we weren't home, and my son out of the kitchen when we were. I decided to get it anyway, and I'm so glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews because this gate works great for us. I bought two to block off the kitchen and they are very sturdy and easy to use.

I haven't had an problems with them fitting with my baseboard, or in the door jam of my son's room. They haven't left any black marks on my walls, and haven't damaged my drywall like some other customers complained about. However pressure gates aren't as convienent as the swing door gates they are very easy to put up when you need them, and take down when you don't. I love this gate so much I'm going to go buy a third one and put it in my son's door jam so we can leave his door open and keep our dog out.

This gate is only 2ft tall, so if you need something taller this won't work for you, but I still think it's a great buy.

This gate is terrible. It is difficult to set up and take down, it's a real nuisance. My beagle can even push it down (even when I had it on the tightest notch). And to make matters worse, my 14 month old son grabbed it on one side, actually pulled it, fell back and hit his head on the tile floor. [...]I don't think this is meant to fit up to a 42" opening like it is advertised. I'm sticking with swing door gates.

I bought 2 of these gates and put one in the kitchen entrance and the other in the hallway. They seemed to work fine until I went to take them down...the one in the kitchen entrance left black dots in each spot the rubber hit the wall, and the one in the hallway did the same thing but also took the paint and part of the drywall off the wall. So now I have to repair and repaint my walls and try to find another gate. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.

The gate didn't fit flush on the floor in my house because we have regular molding along the floor. We were going to have to suspend it about 3 inches off the floor (the rubber ends don't extend far enough past the gate itself to press against wall). I put it up today (for the first time) and took it down about 3 hours later. Upon taking it down, all 4 rubber ends pulled the paint off my wall, and 3 of them actually pulled some sheetrock off as well (about a qtr of an inch deep). I now have to fill the holes and repaint. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
