Gate didn't work well in our doorway at all. Hardware installation wasn't too hard, but once we got it installed we couldn't get the top and bottom to have pressure at the same time. Bought it because it was the cheapest swing gate I could find. I am returning it and plan to but something more expensive and hopefully easier for me to use.

I like this gate. I bought 1 months ago to protect my daughter from falling downstairs and just bought a second one for the kitchen. The price is great. I did wall mount both so im not sure how good it is with pressure mounting. I recommend this product.

I originally bought a evenflo summit gate and hated it. But went out yesterday and bought this gate and loved it. It was very easy to install, it even come with a template to wall mount the gate. This gate is very sturdy and easy to use. Great gate

We have this gate hardware-mounted to block the basement steps. It wasn't hard to install, and it's easy to pass through. We actually mounted it about 6 inches from the ground so that our cats could pass under it.

We plan to buy more now that our 11 month old is getting into EVERYTHING now.

This is a horrible gate. It is easy to assemble, however it is extremely hard to get a good fit in uneven doorways and is easy to push over. I will be returning these and spending a little more on some quality gates.

I too purchased this at the store with the assumption that the gate would swing when pressure mounted. Since I do not plan on permanently mounting this in my doorway... I tried to assemble it and pressure mount it without success. The assembly process is fairly simple, but my house is older and the doorway isn't perfectly straight. I was unable to get the pressure mount to be secure. The gate moved and wobbled without much effort.

I plan on returning this asap.

It does seem like a durable gate and I imagine if you have the patience to hardware mount it, I think it would work well. However if you're looking for a pressure mounted gate - you'd be better off buying a cheaper old-school wooden gate or spending the money on a better quality swing gate.

This gate was the biggest waste of money. It's pretty easy to put together although the directions are confusing, but it's impossible to get a secure fit. Tried it in 3 different doorways & in each one all my daughter had to do was push it gently & it came down. Wall-mounting is not an option as we rent so I'll be returning this for better quality item.

I bought this gate for my dad's house because he watches my very active 15 month old during the day. No where on the box (I bought it in store) did it say that it only swung if it was hardware mounted. My dad rents a house and hardware mounting was not our first option. We have another more expensive gate that swings even though its pressure mounted, so I didn't think anything of it. I finally installed it pressure mounted and my dad was going to just step over the gate.

He has a heart condition and ended up tripping and falling over the gate! I was mortified. Luckily, his landlord let us hardware mount it instead. He lives in an old house and the doors aren't square anymore, so I can't get the green markers to come up even though I've tried.

As for the use of the gate itself, now that it swings, it seems to work ok. My toddler hasn't managed to break it yet, and my dad didn't even break it falling over it (and he is a large guy).

I wish they had packaged it better though, because I would have just bought a better pressure mounted gate instead of having to drill into his door frames.

Wobbly after installed using the swing mount-one way cups. It is not level and I used the wall template. I am planning on returning this.
