This aspirator works as well or better than the other similar bulbs, but you have to be VERY careful with cleaning it. I cut mine open today to discover the entire inside COVERED in black mold! PLEASE be sure to clean with soap and water after every use and exchange for a new bulb every couple of weeks! Honestly, I would recommend buying one of the electric aspirators with a removable cup that allows you to take it apart and clean and disinfect (and then allow to completely dry)!

I got this as a shower gift & thought it is nice but didn't really see its use. The first time my baby was stuffed up & couldn't breathe, I got this out & used it & to my relief it clear her breathing so well & it was easy to clean.

Doesn't work! It's stiff so I warmed it up under hot water and it still didn't work! Doesn't even have suction! Stop making these because it's just a waste of time and money!

        Piece of junk

        By Elisa

        from Virginia

Comments about Safety 1st Hospital's Choice Newborn Nasal Aspirator:

Do not waste your money! When you push in the bulb it stays in when you let go of it, therefore no suction at all! We then purchased the full size one of the same brand and it did the same thing! Stay away from this brand!

Comments about Safety 1st Hospital's Choice Newborn Nasal Aspirator:

If you were going to buy a nasal aspirator, this is the one I would buy, even if you infant isn't a preemie. The standard ones are in my opinion too big for there little noses. This one is perfect if you child is tiny like mine. It also works great for when they get older.

          NOT AS PICTURED

Comments about Safety 1st Hospital's Choice Newborn Nasal Aspirator:

The nasal aspirator that we got from the hospital broke so I ordered this product because as pictured it appears to be the same one the hospitals use. The product description also states that its the one used by hospitals. The suction on this is so terrible that I had to resort to using a q tip instead, which did not help areas in the back of my sons nose.

The one the hospital gave us was too big so we got this one to use in the meantime. What a waste! It has no suck power whatsoever. We ended up just making the one we had work.

Comments about Safety 1st Hospital's Choice Newborn Nasal Aspirator:

The picture is misleading....The picture is of the one that is used in the hospital but the product i actually received was a tiny-gray nasal aspirator. I was not satisfied with what i got at all, I was able to bring the one I got at the hospital home after having my baby. It was green and larger than the one i recv'd from BabiesRUs. It has since gotten worn out, so I saw this one. And the picture is the exact same one that I originally had so I ordered it. But when the product arrived it was not the same as the picture.
