This was a simple Lego toy for my two year old so he would have his own and wouldn't hassle his 6 yr old brother when brother was playing Legos. Two year old loves the firetruck and firefighter! He couldn't have put it together so we did it for him but it does the trick and keeps the two playing together instead of fighting about them. Previous poster was concerned about choking hazard-no four year old I know would still be putting toys in his/her mouth. These are real Legos-not Duplos or Mega Blocks. Great little item!

Great for young lego lovers. Pieces are the same size as all other regular legos. The supporting leg of the fire station easily breaks off but doesn't seem to worry my 4 year old.

Very cute little lego set. It is a small set (not an overwhelming number of pieces), which is the beauty of it, my 5 yr old was able to put it together with little to no help. It is just the right size for the beginner (not under 3 due to small pieces) lego builder. It was easy to put together and ready for playing in no time at all. My son and I really found it ejoyable, not frustrating. The fire truck is really cute once built, and has a little fire flame. It really looks adorable on the extra green base I also bought. It fits so nice with the other lego pieces my son is starting to collect for his lego city. He can't wait to add to his set! **my tip - a must buy item is the lego green square base (around 6.99) at local toysrus or online. A little pricey if you buy more than one at a time, but if you grab one each time you get a small lego set it won't be that bad. And it really adds some much stability to what your little "builder" is building!!

The ages are listed on the box! Not appropriate for smaller children!

The directions are easy to follow and my kids (ages 11, 9 & 8) play with many of these types of sets for hours. They have several Lego sets each.

My 4 year old got this as a gift for Christmas. I helped him follow the directions and he was excited to see the things come together. I didn't expect the larger size bricks because of the ages on the box. There is a picture on the box to show the actual brick size.

My only complaint would be that there are not directions for some of the vehicles and buildings shown. They are not real complicated, so you can figure them out by looking at the pictures, but I would have liked the drections for my son to be able to do them a bit more independently.

Overall though, we are having a great time building with this set! :)

bought this for my 4 yr. old grandson for christmas. pieces are very small really just a choke waiting to happen. shown to be bigger pieces on website. really it should be for ages 6 and up. no i would not refer this product to any child under age 6. [...] if i knew how to return it you bet i would. [...] not happy
