This car seat has been great for our daughter, until now. First, let me say that it seems very comfortable for our daughter and very safe and secure when installed.
However, now that she is 6 months old and weighs close to 20 pounds, it is way too heavy and she barely fits into it. She is only 26 1/2 inches and her feet go all the way to the end of the seat. She still has a little room, but she is also wide, so really not much. I was hoping to keep this until she was a year old, but at 6 months we are already having to upgrade to a convertible car seat. In my opinion, not really worth the extra money for the 32lbs, 32 inches.

I got this carseat for my son who is 3 weeks old. He was 8lbs 2oz and 21 1/2 in but still looked like a shrimp in the seat. Besides looking tiny I love the seat and so does he. He only time he cries in it is when he wakes up and it's feeding time. Other then that he loves it. I admit it is a little on the heavier side, but no bad. T fits great in my Trailblazer. It's a little snug in my husbands Impreza, but it still works

Yes, this carseat is a bit heavier and bulkier than the traditional snugride, but if you have a big or tall baby, it is a wonderful seat. My son is only 4 months old and almost reaching the height limit on the regular snugride. He may not reach the 32 pound limit as others have stated, but he will definately out grow the 22 pound limit on the smaller car seats before he is a year old. He fits comfortably into this one and we are so happy we purchased it!!!

NICE CARSEAT. MY DAUGHTER FALLS ASLEEP IN THIS EASY AND ENJOYS IT. IT IS A BIT HEAVY. I AGREE THEY SHOULD TRY MAKING THIS CARSEAT LIGHTER. THE BABY IS ALREADY HEAVY AS IS. OVERALL, I FEEL THAT MY DAUGHTER IS VERY SAFE IN THIS. I LIKE THAT WHEN YOU INSTALL PROPERLY IN THE CAR, IT DOESN'T MOVE AT ALL. I LIKE THE COLORS, BLACK && GREEN. VERY SOFT && COMFORTABLE.

I bought this for my second child thinking it would be used longer due to being 32 pounds or inches. however, my son is 8 months and almost 20 pounds 28 inches and I can't hardly lift the carrier because the two combined weigh too much. The carrier won't snap on the shopping carts, won't fit in most booths or carrier holders at restaurants, and is very cumbersome. At the time of our purchase not many designs out there for boys. Don't recommend this car seat unless you want a workout to go with it.

I bought the SnugRide 32 because the SnugRide was so highly rated. Since we thought we might have a big baby, we opted for the 32. My sister had a big baby who grew out of his infant seat before he could sit up on his own, so it was a pain taking him to restaurants and such. It was a nice thought, but unfortunately, the 32 does not work until a child is 32 pounds/32 inches.

But let me first start with the pros of this seat. It is attractive, easy to install, and seems sturdy and safe. (We haven't been in an accident, thankfully, so cannot really attest to its safeness.) The seat easily goes in and out of its base which is a GREAT plus. The straps adjust from the front, which is also great.

The problems with the seat...it's huge. It's heavy and hard to manage. I could deal with the heaviness easier than the large size of the seat. All seats eventually become heavy as the baby grows, but the bigness really gets in the way. It doesn't fit in a grocery cart except down the main part of the cart. It takes up the whole cart, so I can't take my baby if I need to do the major weekly shopping. It is a major pain to have to find a babysitter just to do the weekly shopping! I guess I could go more often so that I wouldn't have to buy much at once, but who has the time? I am also not coordinated enough to push two carts. Some restaurants prefer us to sit in a booth and put the carseat in one of the seats instead of using a sling. However, the seat is too wide for many booths and we end up eating with the car seat sitting on the table. Ridiculous! We have a midsize sedan, and it fits in there fine. We had to move the front seat up to make room, but I can still sit in the front seat comfortably even though I'm fairly tall.

As much as a pain it has been hauling this monster seat around, I told myself it would be worth it when I could keep using this seat well past the time my baby would have grown out of a smaller seat. But NOT TRUE! The straps are not nearly big enough to accommodate a child anywhere near 32 pounds or 32 inches even though the seat itself may be large enough. My 5 month old is at the 50th percentile in weight (around 17 pounds), but we're going to have to move him to another seat very soon. He is a little tall for his age, but he is nowhere near 32 inches. So, I will still not be able to take my child to the grocery store until he can sit up on his own. We will have to hold him on our laps in restaurants until he can sit in the high chair since restaurants won't allow strollers.

So, save your money and your arm and either buy a smaller seat or buy a large seat from another company who was smart enough to lengthen their straps.

This car seat was pretty easy to install (although we had some help from the local police precinct). The fabric looks great and it wears very well.

In terms of negatives, I find this to be very heavy for me. My baby is 6 weeks old and about 9 lbs and I have a tough time carrying her around, and in and out of the car in this. Perhaps I am not the strongest person in the world, but it really is a pain for me to lift, and I certainly can't lift her in this if I am carrying anything else.
We drive a 2009 Honda CRV and I find it is a little tight getting this in and out of the car. We had to push the front passenger seat all the way up to make room for the car seat (using the latch system), so my husband basically is crunched in the front when he is not driving.

I will say that my daughter finds this extremely comfortable and falls asleep in it all the time. Other than those few negatives, it is a pretty good car seat.

The carseat was good for when she was a baby. However, I suspect it is heavier than the regular SnugRide. Therefore, I would suggest getting the regular one so it's not such a pain to carry because there is no way, unless the child is really short, that they are ever going to get to 32 pounds in this carseat. At only 15 pounds and 5 months, my daughter was too tall to fit in this carseat and we had to upgrade to the next one.

agree with other reviews that the car seat is VERY heavy. my son is 22 lbs now and I can barely walk carrying him in the seat.

very convenient with the the snap in base and snap'n'go strollers - but my back can't take much more of the weight
