This product is great for little ones. It is a good alternative to plastic toy food that doesn't do anything special. Here you have a set of toy food that helps with hand eye coordination & I'm sure other things I'm not even aware of ! It has been very durable for our family as well.

My 20 month old daughter loves this product! She immediately figured out how to cut the fruit and thinks it is really cool to be able to put it back together and start again. The construction is great, the velcro is really strong and has not worn down - the wooden crate that the fruit comes in, is really great too! The knife is also a great way to teach her about "Mommy's knives" and her knife, so that she learns to use only her "safe knife" as we call it.
I truly love all Melissa & Doug products!
