We received this whold set (crib, dresser and changer) from my mother in law and grand mother in law for my shower. I love the whole set. I read the instructions and handed out hardware as my husband and friends husband assembled it. It only took 30-45 mins. As long as you read the instructions it was easy to assemble. The dresser drawers move smoothly. It could have been done with just hubby and I but it was easier this way... out friend isnt ready to deliver a baby so he was more help than i would have been. it seems like it could scratch easily but hey that happens its going in a kids rooms. It was larger than i originally thought but that was a good thing! I just think its beautiful!

My son is 16 months. We decided to go with this set because it's so beautiful and spacious! We bought the crib, changing table, and chest and all three pieces go perfectly together and fit just right inside my son's room. At first, they looked sturdy and I thought they would last him for years.

Be careful when you move the crib around the room. The sections seem to want to come apart at times. It can easily be scratched and I had to cover the railings because my son started to leave teeth marks.

I have not had any problems with the changing table thus far (*knock on wood*). However, the chest is a completely different story. It's only a year old and it is falling apart. I agree with the other poster, the bottom of the drawers IS some kind of lightweight pressboard and it does NOT hold up. The screws continue to loosen and right now the front of the first drawer has fallen off. I try not to put too much inside the drawers because they are so flimsy and I keep the baby's socks and onesies in the first drawer. Still, the bottom of the drawer did not hold and the others are also falling apart. I'm afraid I may have to purchase another chest for him. It's too bad because it was beautiful and matched perfectly with the crib and changing table. I don't know if it's too late to return.

Comments about Million Dollar Baby DaVinci Parker 4-Drawer Dresser - Oak:

I added the DaVinci Parker 4-Drawer Dresser- Oak and the DaVinci Emily 3 Drawer Dresser - Oak onto my Babies r us registry for my baby shower. Before opening both boxes said that they were "Oak". To my shock the 3 drawer dresser was NOt oak and did not match the changing table whatever so ever! The dresser was more cherry like and took husband 5 hours to set up. Not only was it not what I expected but all the measurements were off to drill the holes for the dresser therefore my husband had to drill all new holes. All of the brackets were off by at least one inch. When we put the drawer in it couldn't close all the way making for a loose and wobbly dresser NOT safe for a child. The quality was poor and far from my expectations as a new mom to be. Very dissatisfied and would never recommend this dresser to anyone.

The product is pretty much exactly like you'd imagine it. The color is pretty and it's roomy but the drawers are a little flimsy. They kinda slam shut. Im happy with it just think we are going to anchor it to the wall.

Comments about Million Dollar Baby DaVinci Parker 4-Drawer Dresser - Oak:

First I'll say the negatives: This dresser took my husband 3 hours to put together, and he is very handy, but the directions were vague. It's mostly particle board, but for the price I guess thats expected. The one thing that really disappointed me was how soft the wood was - once we had it all together I was dusting it and accidentally scratched it with my nail and it made a dent in the wood (and my nails aren't even long)! I have never owned a piece of furniture that dented so easily. One other thing that bothered me is that the edges of the side panels are a different color than the front part of the dresser, so where these parts meet there's a very obvious difference in color. It really bothered me at first but now I don't really notice it. Lastly, the drawers make a very loud bang when they shut so I'm going to have to put felt pads on the inside of the drawers to keep them from slamming like that.
On the positive side, the drawers are very spacious and it is much bigger than I was expecting. And despite the little things that bothered me, anyone walking into the room would probably not notice. It looks pretty good if someone was just seeing it in the room and not inspecting it up close. Overall you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a high-quality item then this is not for you. But if you're just looking for an inexpensive dresser that serves its purpose, this is a good buy.

Comments about Million Dollar Baby DaVinci Parker 4-Drawer Dresser - Oak:

      Here is the good stuff:
This dresser matches the DaVinci crib that we bought perfectly. It's nice and big, but since our baby's room isn't exactly spacious, it is a perfect size with lots of storage space. We expected to have to put this together, and even though that's never fun, 3/4 of the time spent assembling it was relatively painless. (I'll comment on the last 1/4 of the time in the next paragraph, however.) The OUTSIDE of this dresser is very sturdy and solid once it's put together. That part alone almost makes it worth the money we spent on this dresser.

      Here is the bad stuff:
The drawers are the most problematic part of this piece of furniture. When putting them together, we noticed that the many of the cams used to connect the drawer sides to the drawer front pieces would not sufficiently tighten and lock into place. Therefore, the fronts of the drawers are loose and sloppy feeling. My husband and I tried everything to get them to tighten down properly, but if the hardware is defective, there's not much you can do. We are planning on keeping the dresser and have decided to use "L" brackets to strengthen those connections, which is a huge pain.
And while I expect that prefabricated furniture wouldn't have the sturdiest materials in the world, the wood used to make the drawer sides and backs is extremely soft and porous and the screws used to connect them rarely tightened as well as they should. A lot of the time, the screws would just turn and turn. This indicates to me that eventually they'll get loose and fall out. The drawer bottoms are also a pretty flimsy particle board/masonite material that feels like it won't hold up for very long.

Our baby is due in September and honestly the hassle of returning this piece for another that we'd have to assemble again is one of the biggest reasons why we're keeping it. I would definitely think twice again about buying a DaVinci dresser. The crib, however, is fantastic.

Comments about Million Dollar Baby DaVinci Parker 4-Drawer Dresser - Oak:

My sister purchased the bed so my brother and I thought we'd purchase the Dresser and Changing Table/cabinet for her. It took all day, but I did put it together by myself. Please note that the bottoms of the drawers are just a cardboard type material and probably won't hold up very long. I expected a little more for the price. Be careful when you go to move this piece because the drawers move VERY freely. I was attempting to put it on the hand-trucks to move inside when one of the drawers came flying out and hit the ground and busted the bottom corner off the drawer front. Although it was MY fault the drawer fell out, I would've expected it to be a little stronger than that. It is an attractive piece of furniture, just don't seem to be sturdy enough to last through too many child years.

Im really upset of how this dresser is once put togeether. i spent 2 hours putting it together, and everything was going smoothly, i was getting very excited to finally see this thing all together. well then i put the drawers in... there was like a 1/2 inches gap between the drawers, which made it look very cheap & the drawers dont look like they close tightly all the way. the directions are a little confusing, had to go by the pictures, plus none of the screws were labeled so that was another task in itself!i love the dresser, i think its beautiful, i just wish the gap wasnt there & that they would actually label things that they refer to on the directions

This was a decent dresser. The outside has a nice solid look and the drawers slide very nicely. However, the bottom of the drawers is some kind of lightweight pressboard and I worry over time that they will not hold up. I would however probably but it again as the price was ok and it seems many dressers are like this.
