Help your baby sleep better than you ever imagined with this 100% cotton-knit Miracle Blanket - Blue. It's easy to get the perfect swaddle every time, even in the dark. Your baby will sleep better, longer and be less fussy. Both of you will receive the sleep you desperately need.

The fabric is a soft cotton knit selected for several reasons. It's breathable so that it can be used in warm climates while still being luxurious enough to keep your baby warm in cooler places. It has just enough stretch to absorb your baby's movements without coming undone, but it's not so stretchy that it won't stay tight. And, most importantly, it stands up to constant use and washing. Like any baby fabric, you should wash it in the cold cycle and dry it on the delicate cycle.

Weight: 0.56 lbs.

Images below depict an alternate color. Actual product is Blue.

I purchased this product based on the reviews of other parents. I am a pro-swaddling mommy but found with my first son would always break free and get fussy and I started noticing that as well with my newborn. I used this Swaddler the first time and my son was calm. He also took a long nap which was very uncommon for him. He also cannot get his arms free. I just purchased another so I would have 1 or him to wear and 1 to wash.

I bought this blanket for my son because I had been using the Kiddopotamus SwaddleMe for him, and wanted something a little bit larger and of a lighter fabric. This fits the bill on both counts, but after using it three or four times (I wanted to make sure I gave it the benefit of the doubt), I have returned disappointed to the SwaddleMe. Not only does this product cost twice as much, but it is more complicated to wrap, and he was able to kick his legs free without fail. I will admit that it seemed to hold the arms more securely than the SwaddleMe, but since he could kick his legs out every single time, I became frustrated. I haven't had any real difficulty with the SwaddleMe overall, so that's what I'll be using from now on.

Comments about Griffin 1010196 1010196 The Miracle Blanket - Blue:

I'm all thumbs when it comes to a traditional swaddle, and after reading the reviews about the Miracle Blanket, I figured it was worth a try. We had gotten gift cards at the baby shower, and TRU had the blue at a deep discount, so we went ahead and ordered it. He doesn't like to be put in it (though he has the same problem with traditional swaddling), but once in, he usually calms down fairly quickly. The Miracle Blanket is a bit easier for me to swaddle vs. a regular blanket, and keeps him more secure (he's a bit of an escape artist). He sleeps much better in a swaddle, as he has a tendency to jerk his arms and wake himself up if not swaddled.

Comments about Griffin 1010196 1010196 The Miracle Blanket - Blue:

I bought this to use on my six-week-old son when he outgrew his initial HALO sleep swaddle sacks. He was at the time around 11 pounds and 22 inches. He's now 14 pounds and 24 inches at 10 weeks.

Initially, this product was long enough for the baby. After washing it almost every day for a week due to accidents in it, it shrunk down and his feet barely fit in it. (I just couldn't bring myself to use cold water given what it was that stained it.) I also noticed the color was fading on the cloth in a line on one spot, as if fabric was folded while it was being dyed.

The accidents, while not entirely the swaddle's fault, were at least partially due to the fact that at night, we had two options:
      1. take the entire swaddle off of him, change his diaper, and re-swaddle - upsetting for him and making feedings SO much longer; OR
      2. try to scoot the swaddle far enough up that we could change his diaper - with his arms at his side, the diaper couldn't go far enough up, causing accidents.

Our baby has also kicked at least one leg out (usually his left leg due to the design) every night because there's no way to secure the leg sack portion, and many times I find him after a hasty midnight rewrap completely out of thing.

Bottom line, even though the swaddle keeps his arms in and seems to feel good on his abdomen, it's a pain at night.

      Where was my miracle?

Comments about Griffin 1010196 1010196 The Miracle Blanket - Blue:

I read an article about how fantastic these wraps were and immediately went to Babies R Us to get one...or three...or seven if they woul just get my colicky baby to calm and sleep! After wandering the wrap aisle, I finally found the Miracle Wraps on an end cap facing the wall. I saw that they were on clearance, so I bought two as a precaution.

Well, bed time rolls around and I unfurl the excessive length of the wraps "wings." It seemed a bit ridiculous to have that much length on the main wrap side. The little "wings" to hold baby's arms down are genius! BUT! Because of all the extra fabric happening, my little guy overheated while only being dressed in a onesie. Angry, gassy, colicky babies do not like to be hot. He seemed content before he was hot, but he also seems contest for the first few minutes swaddled in anything.

I promptly returned my Miracle Blankets for lacking in miraculous qualities the very next day.

This is the only swaddling blanket we've found so far from which our newborn son cannot extract his arms. So it's great for babies who are expert swaddle escape artists. My only reservation is that given our son's tendency to kick as well, folding up the bottom of the blanket (as suggested to accommodate his small size) does not work; his feet inevitably bust out of the bottom and end up exposed and a bit cold. But we still like the blanket a lot on the whole.

This swaddle blanket is no better than any other. I felt as though I was putting my baby in some sort of straight jacket the way you have to secure their arms with the inside flaps. My son is also a wiggle worm when he sleeps and by morning he had loosened the whole thing. I prefer the swaddles that Velcro closed making wiggling out of them virtually impossible. This blanket is not worth $30 and is by no means a miracle.
