I bought this item for my daughter just after she turned 3. It's a GREAT little toy! There's 2 games that an be played. Each cookie placed in the jar will be counted in sequence or you can find the number the cookie is asking for. She has a lot of fun, and it helps her recognize the numbers, as well as counting the chips on each cookie. The toy is NOT too loud. This little cookie is a toy that you can ACTUALLY hear. It shuts itself off after asking the same question a few times when a cookie isn't placed in the jar. It's a wonderful learning toy. I'm glad I bought this item and my daughter seems to agree

This toy is terrible. I opened it this morning for my 3 1/2 year old. Unless your child has fantastic dexterity, they won't be able to put the cookies into the jar. It is very hard to push the cookies through the hole and when we do, the sensor gets stuck and stops talking. Also, to get the cookies back out, you have to turn and click a small hatch in the back of the jar. It's very hard, even for an adult, to get the hatch back in correctly. Overall, this toy is not at all user friendly and I also agree with another reviewer who complained that there is no "on/off" switch or volume control so the cookie jar becomes very annoying very quickly.

My kids never played with this toy, after they couldn't get the cookies in by themselves. It is loud, and says "eh hem, excuse me" if you stop playing with it, and there is no way to shut it off, so it keeps saying that until it eventually stops. It is very loud. Save your sanity!!!! Don't buy it!!!

We have had this toy all through the stages from 2-4. She liked the putting in of the cookies when she was younger and heard all about counting from the little jar. Now she's older and is learning her numbers. You may even be able to use it again when it's math time! Cute little voice on the toy. We left the back open so she could do it again and again

This is a horrible toy and is SSOO loud! Doesn't have a volume button and will randomly go off. (including in the middle of the night) The cookies have to go in a certain way so it just frustrated my daughter. And the lock on the back to keep the cookies in the jar is hard to do. Worst toy ever. I'm not even going to donate it but just throw it away!

Comments about The Learning Journey Count and Learn Cookie Jar:

Our grandson has used this in different ways since he was 18 mos. At first it was to dump and refill (sans lock-lid). Next time it came into rotation, he liked figuring out how to get the cookies in the jar. We'd chant the Who Took the Cookies from the Cookie Jar ditty. Very fun to watch little ones learn and ape. When this toy reappeared most recently, grandson at 30 months lined up the cookies, counted them, counted the little 'sprinkles' on the tops. (His daddy disabled the talking feature. We do not miss it at all).

Comments about The Learning Journey Count and Learn Cookie Jar:

i would have to disagree with most of these reviews. I saw this toy and bought it for my daughter when she was 14 months old and it helped alot with fine motor skills and she loved it. I've had no problems with the cookies sticking or the jar saying the wrong number. To me this was one of the better toys I've boughten. Still to this day my little girl is almost two and still uses it. There will be many more play dates when this toy is used.

When I saw this toy I thought it would be perfect for my son. He loves any toy that makes noise and he loves to put objects away and take them back out. Once the jar tells you to find certain numbers it messes up. You can put the right cookie and it will tell you to try again. I don't really mind that toys that make lots of noise, but, this one can be quite annoying because even after my son is done playing it with it will go on for almost two minutes. Great idea, but poor concept.
