These puzzles are awesome!!! People think they are broken but, you just need to use them in a well lit area. They work with light. I thought mine were broken too. We play with these on the end table under a lamp. They also work just fine during the day with the blinds open. Melissa and Doug need to put this on the packaging. My son loves them. We have 5 and they all work just great as long as it's not too dim in the room.

My son got 2 of these sound puzzles for Christmas. We put brand new fresh batteries in them and they only worked for a moment. Some of the pieces never worked at all. Now that my son knows they should make noise he wants us to fix it. I am returning them as soon as I can.

My 2 year old son has recently just got interested in puzzles and we thought this one would be fun since it makes noise. Well, the noises don't always work when you place the puzzle piece in it's place and sometimes the puzzle will make noise when nothing is even near it. (We call it "the possesed puzzle") Mind you, we do have brand new batteries in the puzzle. I wouldn't recommend this puzzle to anyone who I know, but at least its still just a regular puzzle if you take the batteries out.

This puzzle is the worst EVER! Some of the animal sounds didn't work and you can put the sheep on the horse and it will make the horse noise...Does that not defeat the purpose? Would not reccoment this to ANYONE!

I bought this for my daughter she loves it, it teaches her animals and sounds only complaint is sometimes the sounds dont go off when you put the piece in and sometimes they go off when you tilt the puzzle without pieces in it but other than that its a great idea good time consumer

These puzzles are so cute! Great way to teach kids about animals and the sounds they make. I think it's a toy my son could play with for awhile, too (he is only 14 months now). Only complaint is the noises sometimes go off when you are not playing with it....otherwise, great product!
