Well, the only reason I bought these for my kid is because it reminded me of some colored pencils I had as a kid...well, the colors in these are nice but basic colors like reds and browns and blacks are not included in the set. These are more like a tropical or jeweltone color-scheme.

The sharpener doesn't really work -- it doesn't sharpen the tips up to a point, but I think it was made on purpose that way to keep children safe.

My child loves them and that's what matters in the end.

The sharpener it comes with is defective and the pencils won't even fit in it. So until I find another way to sharpen the pencils are worthless. Big disappointment!
