I love these pads! I used other reusable pads with my first baby and the fabric was a little scratchy. These are super soft and absorb nicely for me, even over night. I have used the disposables and really dislike the texture, and the fact they are not eco friendly. I am ordering a second pack because I like them so well.

I do like washable nursing pads (though I prefer ones that have a water-proof layer to prevent leaks.) One word of caution, do NOT use fabric softener when you wash these. That will coat the cotton and prevent absorption. Also, wash these at least once, if not twice before wearing. Not washing beforehand will reduce absorption too. This applies to all cotton, not just these pads.

    I absolutely am for the reusable idea, but these pads need to be thicker. Good thing they come in a 6 pack because I unfortunately still leak through on one side so I have to double up.

      I found these when I felt that the paper pads were rubbing me raw. They work great for daytime use because I am not very leaky. I only wear the paper pads at night now. I feel that these are very well worth the buy and money saving as well.

        I was so happy to find washable nursing pads made of organic cotton. These worked really well for me after I'd been nursing for the first month.. before that, there was so much leakage that I had to use disposable pads. The only not-so-great thing was that my dog ate one of these after the first time I used it. So if you have dogs, don't set these on your coffee table while you're adjusting your bra, et c.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              These are soooo soft even after I've washed them a bunch of times. I didn't think it would really matter but I haven't grabbed the Medela ones out of my drawer since I bought these. They also don't have a middle crease like Medela ones that can show easily through a shirt. They may move around a little bit in your bra but they all do that for me. Totally worth it! Just not saying it's perfect because I wouldn't say any product is perfect really.

              I leaked right through these pads and found myself with wet clothing. While disposable pads seal moisture away from the skin, these pads remain wet. Any moisture that does dry leaves the cloth feeling crusty and causes it to stick to the skin.

              An additional drawback is that these pads are not contoured and therefore look lumpy under clothing. I also found them itchy.

              I recommend contoured dispoaable pads with adhesive strips.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                It doesn't do the work. It's a flat shape that doesn't cup the breast. When the milk comes strong, the fabric doesn't absorb quickly enough. It leaks from the side (between the pad and your skin) down to your bra and clothes.

                I didn't have major leaking, so these pads did the job. However, they weren't that comfortable. Definitely too bulky to wear anywhere but at home. They were just okay. I barely wore them so I'm not sure how they'd fare after a lot of washing. If you're not a first time mom and you know you don't leak so much, I wouldn't bother with these.
