This is 3rd booster we have ordered. My husband and son needed more to build bigger and crazier tracks. It has a lot of power, almost too much. But, if you put some weaker batteries or stretch the power over more track it is perfect.

Thought me and my son would make a long track and include up to 5 boosters. started off just laying flat track with 2 boosters and curves at each end to make a oval track. Goal was to let the hot wheels just continue to go around and around the track without having to get up and put the car back on the track. Everything was bought in the individual hot wheel packs and some hot wheels track extensions. Cars would launch off the track and was very disappointing. we only made it around the tack one complete time, and then the cars were flying off the track again. I am going to let the new batteries ware down some to see if the reduced power of the battery slows the booster down a little so the booster will work better. I was expecting hot wheels designers/engineers would try out their products as dads and sons do. all they have to do is look at the back of the package on the kits/accessories to build your own. If they cannot get it to work right, please go back to the drawing board and get it right. i will pay for a quality product that works consistantly. I am taking back the @ $100 i spent on this junk tomorrow, 5x boosters, a couple of loops and jumps that we did not even take out of the box since we could not even get flat track to work right. if a new model comes out, i would try it. i hope they will come out with a new design before my son grows up/out of hot wheels. i hope that does not happen.

This booster does shoot cars off the track, if you are using low lipped aftermarket straight pieces. I found that using the higher edged, gray pieces from my son's 6-n-1 track set worked great. I have also found that like most hot wheels sets, not all cars work with this product. The cars that do work are great. Excellent product and safe. The booster stops when my two year old touches the rotating wheels, leaving me worry free.

There is no way that the positive reviews here are real. We tried a ton of hot wheels cars and they all shoot right off the track. The booster just flings it at high speeds off the track. There is no speed adjustment- just "way too fast" for the car to stay on the track. Don't go through the agony. Save yourself.

This booster is terrible! We purchased two of them for our 5-year old son for Christmas. He has a huge Hot Wheels track and we regularly add accessories to it. These boosters seemed like a great addition. What's the problem? The booster shoots the cars so hard that they won't stay on the track. There is no speed adjustment on the unit. Our component from the original 1970's Hi-Performance Set that serves the same function works beautifully, but this booster isn't worth a penny. Don't buy it.

the positive reviews of these boosters are absolutely inaccurate. these boosters simply shoot the cars right off the track. i just tried 30 different hot wheels cars with this item and not ONE of them would stay on the track after going through the booster. the cars just get shot off the track! worthless!!!!!! returning them all to toys r us.

Amazing speed for when your cars are about to come to a complete stop! This thing is truly amazing. simply load in 2 D battery's and flip the switch to watch your hot wheels cars race down the track faster than you have ever seen! but This thing really does drain your battery's lightning fast. And since they are those expensive D's, we just got 2 rechargeable battery's. Also it didn't even work from when i first started it so my dad opened it open and the gears the tires are attached to wasn't even touching the motor! and the track pieces ALWAYS slide out from the connectors. Great product anyways!

This REALLY makes Hot Wheels track sets MORE fun! It adds an extra boost that the cars often need to get around the track. ONLY downside is that they EAT UP BATTERIES!! We have a few paired with track & my 6 yr old has been playing with it for 2+ yrs now :)

My two year old love this booster, it is none stop action for his hot wheels!!!
